WHAT: Casual biotech/neuroscience discussion - no presentations, just good conversation in a relaxed atmosphere (think Cold Spring Harbor's Blackford Bar).
THE FIRST TOPIC: "how will AI transform biology?". Beyond protein folding prediction, where else could AI bring value? Signal processing, diagnosis or conference reviews? How do we contain hallucination for medical purposes? Or discuss anything else on your mind!
WHO SHOULD COME:
- Researchers, biotech staff, international postgrads, enthusiasts, students
- All levels welcome - from high school to industry veterans
- English-based but Japanese speakers welcome
WHY IN-PERSON: Online discussions are everywhere, but relaxed face-to-face conversation sparks new ideas. Could evolve into journal club if there's interest.
