~Meet The Experts Series from SCIL (Science Communications Improvement Lab)

Author, Programmer and CEO of a company Daniel Leuck will share his insights into the latest advances in AI from a software development point of view and explore seven types of AI that can be highly beneficial for researchers.
Examples of each type of AI will be explored and, at the end, attendees will have a chance to utilize the Indri.AI CodeLet platform, ChatGPT, Anthropic Claude and other systems to explore how their research can benefit from AI.

# Expert

Daniel is the CEO of Ikayzo, a boutique software development and digital design firm. He previously served as Senior Vice President of Research and Development for Tokyo-based ValueCommerce, Asia’s largest online marketing company, Global Head of Development for London-based [LastMinute.com](http://www.lastminute.com/), Europe’s largest B2C website, and President of the US division of DML. Daniel has experience managing teams of 150+ developers in five countries. He has served on advisory boards and panels for companies such as Macromedia and Sun Microsystems. Daniel is active in the open source community, and has sat on the expert groups standardizing Java 6, Scientific Units in Java, Java Modules, and the Swing Application Framework. He co-authored O’Reilly’s Learning Java with Ikayzo CTO Pat Niemeyer.
