About us
Welcome to Tokyo Conscious Connections!
My name is "Barefoot" Rob Nugen. I'm a Connection Coach for men, a reiki healer and TedX speaker.
After launching barefoot events here on Meetup, I'm also running Get Connected events, fostering connection to self and others with activities including conscious breathing, guided meditation, mindful journaling, and structured conversation with like minded people.
You’ll also find other mindful and spiritual events to bring yourself back into your true nature.
Let yourself slow down and experience a range of sensations in the present moment, whether walking barefoot or simply following your breath.
I look forward to seeing you at one of my events!
Blessings and big hug,
Rob Nugen

Barefoot Rob's Mindful Sayonara Stories: Letting Go
Impact Hub Tokyo, 〒153-0063 東京都TokyoMeguro, 2 Chome−11, 目黒区目黒 2-11-3 印刷工場1階, Tokyo, JPEnjoy afternoon tea in a heartful community, discussing things we hold dear and the practice of letting go.
After 23+ years in Kanagawa, Barefoot Rob will be leaving Japan by June 2027 (yes, a year away, but time flies… plus he'll be in Adelaide for 3 to 6 of those months!)
This event will be an opportunity to reflect on the journeys we all take in life, a chance to share personal stories, and a chance for Rob to find new loving homes for some beloved items with unique stories!*
The event will start at 14:00 with a meditation to slow down into the present moment.
After the meditation, we'll explore how possessions become meaningful and why letting go may feel difficult. In small groups we'll reflect on beloved items and meanings they hold in our lives, and how letting go can open doors to new possibilities in life. If you'd like, bring a sacred object of your own to share with the group, show-n-tell style.
After the discussion, Rob will share some stories behind his well-loved items that are looking for a new caretaker.

This isn't a garage sale pretending to be a workshop, it's a workshop with a garage sale in the back. Moving homes after 23 years involves practical decisions as well as emotional ones; I'm interested in exploring both.
This is also an experimental workshop, drawing inspiration from Japanese もったいない, and the Hobbit tradition of `mathoms`: well-loved objects that outlive their original purpose but are too meaningful to simply throw away.
Come with an open mind, an optional sacred object to introduce. Bring a backpack if you'd like to take home something from Rob's collection.
There's no obligation to take an item. 😉 Whether or not you take something physical, I hope you'll arrive home with a new relationship to some of your own possessions.* * *
