Connecting with the Locals as “Tomodachi” in SHIMODA, Shizuoka

Joining a unique cultural event in Shimoda? here is an invitation to Shimoda, connecting communities and the world as “Tomodachi”. I'am organizing World Culture Festival 2024 and have a 1-month digital nomads program "TADAIMA SHIMODA" in Nov in Shimoda where I live. Let's join us!

World Culture Festival 2024: Nov 16 10AM-17PM
The World Culture Festival 2024 is a unique event where digital nomads from around the world collaborate with local residents, from children to adults, to plan and manage a cultural festival together in Shimoda, Shizuoka. Through these joint efforts, local residents can learn about the world beyond Japan, while international guests get to experience the authentic charm of rural Japan. Our goal is to build lasting connections and friendships.
The festival will feature various activities, including a corner where you can try local dishes from around the world, a space to experience traditional Japanese culture, a kid-friendly disco with a professional DJ, a karaoke contest (a global favorite!), and activities using cutting-edge technology.
There will also be a market featuring local businesses, including 'Shimoda Clock Tower Front,' a local souvenir shop near Shimoda Station, where you can discover the delicious local foods of Shimoda.
Don’t worry about language barriers! With technology and good vibes, we can bridge any gap and have an amazing time together!
Whether you want to participate in the festival as a visitor, or join from the planning stages, the World Culture Festival is open to everyone, including international nomads, local children, students, adults, and domestic nomads!

The aim is to deepen connections between local kids, students, adults, and international digital nomads. The World Culture Festival 2024 is just one of many exciting events during this month.
