Welcome to Tokyo! Whether you are a brand-new arrival, a long-term expat, or a returning family, this group is your friendly neighborhood community.
Moving to a new country (or moving back!) comes with unique joys and challenges. This group was started by a mom who recently relocated from the San Francisco Bay Area with her second-grade daughter. As an international, non-Japanese family who has lived the expat life for years, we know firsthand how important it is to find your village. Our group goal is simple: to build a warm, inclusive, and active community where expat kids can find playmates and parents can find like-minded friends.
We want to meet fellow expat families, parents navigating Tokyo life, and elementary-aged kids looking for a supportive local circle. Together at our events, we will host casual park meetups, family-friendly museum outings, seasonal picnics, and parent-only coffee chats to share tips and build real, lasting friendships.
