水かけまつり＆ワールドフェスタ 💦 Saitama Water Fight Festival & World Festa 🔫

Songkran, is a popular festival in Southeast Asian countries, especially in Thailand.

As a New Year's celebration in April, which is the New Year of the Buddhist calendar, a festival is to pour water on each other and celebrate with the intention of praying for good health and good harvest.

In Southeast Asia, April is the hottest in the dry season, so people in the city enjoy pouring water regardless of anyone.

Such a water festival is arranged in the Saitama Shintoshin version.

東南アジア各国、とくにタイで盛んなお祭り「ソンクラーン」。
佛暦の新年となる４月に新年のお祝いとして、無病息災や豊作祈願の意を込めて、水をかけあって祝福するというお祭り。

東南アジアでは、４月が乾季にあたり一年でもっとも暑いということもあって、街中の人たちが誰彼構わずに水をかけあって楽しんでいます。

そんな水かけまつりをさいたま新都心版にアレンジ。
けやきひろばに用意された水をコップや水鉄砲でかけあって楽しみましょう。

Watering time is from 11:00 to 13:00 / from 14:00 to 16:00

Aside from all of the water-based fun, the "world" portion of the event will include cultural experience areas, street food from all corners of the globe, and a world market selling a variety of internationally-sourced items, from clothing to accessories and plenty more.

There is no admission fee to enjoy the event, but bring extra money if you plan on purchasing food or items from the world market.

We'll leave the station at 11am, so please make sure you arrive at least 10 minutes earlier.

Event fee:
¥500 - limited to the first 7 applicants (make sure you contact me on LINE immediately!) - prompt payment is essential to guarantee this reduced fee.
¥750 if you pay by 7pm on 26th July (PayPay, or in cash at an earlier event).
¥1000 in cash on the event day (27th July) - please bring the correct money.

If you don't have PayPay, please ask a friend or coworker to do the transaction for you (give them cash!).

Cancellation policy:

• Full refund given if cancellation is notified BY LINE MESSAGE at least 36 hours before the event start time.
• Reservation and then no-showing without prepayment requires full payment of the event fee via PayPay within 24 hours. Further non-payment will result in removal from the group.

After the event, you may submit a review/evaluation. Please kindly rate appropriately as a low evaluation has an impact on the group. Things you should clearly understand in advance:

1. I (Mark) am not a tour guide. For many events this will also be my first time, and events are mainly organised based on intensive internet research.
2. Nature cannot be guaranteed, so flower festivals may be impacted by the recent climate.
3. We aim to depart on time, however bus schedules might change. This is unavoidable.
4. We request participants arrive EARLY. In rare cases we might wait a few minutes if we do not need to take a bus.
5. The number of participants is not guaranteed. However we will not have large groups.
6. The event finish time might be earlier or later than advertised. The hiking time might be longer/shorter than anticipated. Return bus times are not guaranteed.

How to calculate your review appropriately:
