Meeting spot: the ticket gate of Katase Enoshima Station (Odakyu Line)
Katase Enoshima Beach is the oldest beach established in Taisho era and is the first swimming and surfing spot in Japan.
Enoshima is an island with impressive well-preserved nature and spectacular views of the sea.
While crossing the bridge linking the island to the mainland, we can feel the breeze blowing off the ocean and enjoy a breathtaking view of Mount Fuji on a clear day.
Enoshima has a variety of attractions, including Enoshima Shrine dedicated to Benten, a goddess believed to have created the island. Enoshima Daishi is a modern temple of the Shingon Buddhist Sect. It houses a six meter tall statue of protector of Buddhism.

Participation fee: ¥500
What to bring: your lunch, a picnic mat and a bathing suit if you want to take a dip.
It is an easy hike with flat terrain and gentle slopes.
Walking time is about 2.5 hours
