Martial Arts Training Opening Ceremony 2026 令和８年鏡開き式・武道始め

This ceremony features martial arts demonstrations by leading experts of Kyudo (Japanese archery), kendo, karate, naganata, sumo, jukendo, aikido, shorinji kenpo, and judo.

Meeting Time: 11:30 am
Meeting spot: Kudanshita Station (subway) Exit 2 Street Level

Meetup Organization fee : 500 yen

12:00 noon Opening ceremony
12:30 pm Ceremony of yoroi kizome (wearing an armor for the first time)
1 :00 pm Ceremony of kagami-biraki (cutting a large round rice-cake)
1:15 p.m. - 3:30 Demonstration of budo (8 kinds of martial arts including kendo, aikido, karate, sumo, naginata)
