Join us for a cozy gluten-free lunch at one of Tokyo’s hidden gluten-free gems! As we enjoy a safe and delicious meal together, we share practical tips for living gluten-free (and/or dairy-free) in Japan.
Whether you're newly arrived or have been here for years, this is a chance to connect with others who understand the daily dietary challenges! 😊

🔹 During our time together, I’ll share:

• Where to shop for GF/DF products in Japan
• Simple Japanese phrases to ask about ingredients
• My latest favorite grocery finds or Japanese kitchen-friendly recipe

🔹 Fee: ¥500 per person (+ order food and drinks separately)

Shochikuen Café is a tiny café located in Asakusa. It has a menu that is entirely gluten-, dairy-, egg-, artificial coloring- and refined sugar-free. It is safe for people with celiac disease. You can check their English menu here:

We are about meeting specific needs for people with real food-related health problems, not spreading any kind of ideology.

My name is Géraldine and I’ve been eating gluten-free and dairy-free for 15+ years. I became a recipe developer and cookbook author specializing in healthy, allergen-free diets and I moved to Japan a couple years ago. So I do know how tricky it can be to follow an allergen-free diet here! I created this Meetup to help fellow gluten-free expats discover safe, tasty options in Tokyo and feel less alone in their health journey. Looking forward to meeting you for lunch soon! 😊
