You've spent months (or maybe years) building your game.
You've made the Steam page.
You've collected wishlists.
You've posted on social media.
You've attended events.
You've tried marketing.

But what happens when people finish looking at the game?

Do they remember the world?

Do they remember the characters?
The lore?
The story?
The universe behind the game?

Or do they simply remember "that indie game I saw once"?
This online meetup is an introduction to a different way of thinking about indie game marketing and development:

### 🌍 Build the WORLD around your game.

We'll explore how worldbuilding, narrative design, visual storytelling, and IP development can turn a game into something much larger than a Steam page.

We'll discuss:

πŸ”₯ Why a game alone may not be enough to build a lasting audience

🌍 How deep lore and worldbuilding can create stronger connections with players

🎭 How characters can become the faces of your IP

πŸ“– How stories can exist outside the game itself

🎨 How visual storytelling can communicate
your world before someone even plays it

©️ Why building your own IP and creative identity matters

πŸ“£ How an expanded universe creates more opportunities for marketing and promotion

πŸ›οΈ How a strong world can eventually open doors to comics, novels, merchandise, Patreon, animation, community content and more
And most importantly:

How can you start doing this BEFORE your game is finished?

### This isn't a coding workshop.

I'm not going to teach you Unity, Unreal, programming or game mechanics.
Instead, we're going to look at the world surrounding the gameβ€”and how you can start turning the ideas you've already created into something people can follow, talk about and become invested in.

I'll also be sharing examples from my own work developing the WildFIRE Expanded Universe, including the process I've been using to combine comics, lore, characters, games, video content, Patreon and community building into one larger creative ecosystem.

### πŸ‘₯ Who is this for?

This meetup is especially for:

  • Indie game developers
  • Solo developers
  • Small game studios
  • Writers developing games
  • Sci-fi & fantasy creators
  • Developers who already have a game but want to build a stronger IP around it
  • Creators who have been marketing for years but aren't seeing the traction they hoped for

You don't need to have everything figured out.
In fact, that's exactly why we're having this conversation.

## πŸ”₯ The goal

Your game shouldn't have to live and die by a wishlist number.
Let's start thinking about what happens when you build something people want to follow.

Stop chasing wishlists.
Start building a world worth following. πŸ‰πŸ”₯
