Curious about Japanese culture beyond sightseeing?
We are looking for a few international guests and non-Japanese residents to join a free beginner-friendly iaido experience in Tokyo. No experience is needed.
We are planning a beginner-friendly Iaido experience in Tokyo for international guests and non-Japanese residents, and we are looking for a small number of participants to help us test the first session.
If you are curious about Japanese culture beyond sightseeing, we would love your help.
Iaido is a traditional Japanese martial art, but this session is not about fighting. It is a calm introductory experience focused on posture, awareness, etiquette, movement, and concentration.
This first session is offered free of charge because we would like to learn how to make the experience enjoyable and easy to understand for international participants. After the session, we will ask for a short feedback survey.
This experience is connected with Suirinkai Iaido, a group that introduces Tamiya-ryu Iaido and shares Japanese cultural values through practice and events.
