Curious about Japanese culture beyond sightseeing?
We are opening a second beginner-friendly iaido experience in Tokyo for international guests and non-Japanese residents.
Iaido is a traditional Japanese martial art, but this session is not about fighting. It is a calm and beginner-friendly cultural experience focused on posture, awareness, etiquette, movement, and concentration.
Our first session received very positive feedback from participants, who described it as safe, welcoming, fun, and educational. Based on that experience, we are now opening a second small-group evening session.
This session is especially designed for:
- international visitors to Japan
- non-Japanese residents in Tokyo or nearby
- complete beginners
- people interested in Japanese culture
- people who can attend on time and share simple feedback afterward

What to bring:

- comfortable clothes that are easy to move in
Important:
- No experience needed
- Safety comes first
- This is not a sparring or combat class
- Simple English support available
- Please arrive at the meeting point by 18:20
- Please come already dressed in clothes that are easy to move in, as the changing space is small
- We may ask for your name, gender, and height in advance in order to prepare suitable clothing for the experience
- Some of the clothing prepared for the session may be indigo-dyed, so to avoid possible color transfer, dark-colored athletic bottoms are recommended
- Photos may be taken during the session for future service, social media, and website use
- By joining this session, you understand that photography may take place
- If you have any concerns about being photographed, please let us know in advance
- As this is a test session, some parts of the experience may be adjusted slightly depending on the participant
- Please join only if you are able to attend on time and help us by sharing feedback after the session
