Since from childhood, reading books has been my main interest and refuge to a world that I was immensely happy in. That and also being amongst other queer people; so I started this group. If any of this resonates with you, you can join too.

Essentially, this group is called a 'Lesbians' book club to grab attention and to be to-the-point (and also because I am one), but any queer identifying people is expectantly welcomed.

The book of the month will be chosen by all members' voting:

1. If you are a member, you recommend 1 book you want to read each month
2. All books are voted by all of us. There is no hierarchy.
3. Books you recommend do not have to be confined to any specific interest, or category.

Meetings are in-person, but if you can't make it (or if you are not from Tokyo, or even from Japan) then you can join by Zoom. Meetings will be held in English, but bilingual Japanese-English speakers or anyone who wants to improve their English are also welcome. I am also not a native English speaker myself.

You are not expected to have a background in literature, critical theory, etc to be in this club although we would absolutely appreciate to have you if you were, too.
