Tokyo Beat Makers - Sound Design Course + Jam Session 🎶

For this session, we’ll try a collaborative exercise inspired by the “Exquisite Cadaver” With the number of attendees, we’ll split into two groups and start creating two new tracks from scratch.
Every 10 minutes, the person working on the track will rotate, so everyone gets to add their own ideas. While waiting for your turn, you can think about what effects and beats, you could add in the track or take the chance to chat and connect with the other members.

Any style is welcome, as long as it connects in some way to electronic music production.

Whether you’re a total beginner or an experienced producer, you’ll feel at home here.

We’ll be using Ableton, MIDI keyboards, and synths but don’t hesitate to bring along any instrument you’d like to jam with.

For new members if you are not very familiar with ableton this is fine, some of us are complete beginners, have a look at a youtube tutorial first to get an overview, and we will try to pair everyone accordingly.

👉 Note: since we’re using the venue’s space, everyone is asked to order at least one drink during the event. 🍹🍺
