Kamakura Sustainable Tour - Art, Retro Architecture, Vegan Lunch

Over the past ten years in Hokkaido, the Shinkansen project has affected forests and streams, semiconductor factories and data centres have contributed to deforestation and discharged PFAS into rivers that flow into the sea, and so-called “eco-friendly” solar farms have degraded wetlands used by migratory birds as safe stopovers🦢

Hokkaido is also facing higher temperatures due to climate change. More people buy ACs from AEON now.

The rise in temperatures is not only Hokkaido's problem. It also affects Tokyo people's tables by pushing up food prices—rice, onions, and even potatoes🍟

At this event, as a Hokkaido painter is holding a small art exhibition on the loss of natural beauty, we will visit the gallery and hope the paintings move you.

After that, let's have a vegan lunch in beautiful Kamakura town⛩️

• Learn about how nature is gone in Hokkaido through paintings
• Enjoy retro Kamakura walk
• Help the Earth by eating a plant-based lunch

◯ Participation Fee

• 500 yen for the attendance fee. It will be collected at the start of the event. Cash only.
• Food/Drink fees are not included in the participation fee.
• Everyone must order lunch at the restaurant. We will pay separately.

◯ Schedule

1. Meet at JR Kamakura station at 10:00 sharp
2. See paintings of the disappearing natural scenery of Hokkaido at a tiny gallery in Kamakura. Free entrance fee.
3. Kamakura historical walk. Let's roam around.
4. Vegan Lunch. Seats aren’t reserved. We'll split the group if the restaurant doesn't have enough seats for us.
5. 13:00 finish the event at the restaurant
