Hike Miura Fuji + Sakura Hanami (Easy-Medium for Beginners)
Details
Let’s hike Miura Fujisan (200m elevation) and two other nearby summits then finish off with a walk through the town to see Kawazu Sakura between Miurakaigan and Misakiguchi stations. There may be walks along sometimes interesting farms. See photos from past hikes.
If you want to stay late, you can see cherry blossom light up after 1730. You can always go to the nearby beach and go back to the Sakura.
NOTE: Some of the flowers could have reached full bloom already.
Estimated Schedule:
11:00: Meet at Tsukuihama station.
12:00: Mt. Miura Fuji summit and lunch.
13:00: Hodaiyama summit
13:30: Takeyama summit
15:00: Miurakaigan station
15:30: Komatsu pond. You are welcome to leave the group and wander on your own. There are many places to walk around.
16:30 I will probably walk to Misakiguchi station to catch the train but you can stay as long as you want. Finding the train station is easy because we will be near the train tracks.

Notes:
- No Meetup fee thanks to our group owner, Liliya.
- I hiked this many years ago so my memory of the course is fuzzy, so please be patient.
- No smoking and no bell(s).
- Summits are not high in elevation but the long walking time could make it challenging for some.
- Wear hiking or athletic shoes.
- I recommend around 300-500mL of water but there will likely be combini on the way to Miurakaigan station.
