"When Stars Collide"

Some of the atoms in our bodies are formed in the collision of two particularly odd stars. In this talk, Albert Sneppen (Niels Bohr Institute) will trace how some of these atoms end up in our body and the curious limit of the laws of physics, which occurs when a black hole is born from the debris of stellar collisions.

Speaker info:
Albert Sneppen is a PhD researcher at the Cosmic Dawn Center at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen. He is investigating various transient phenomena in the universe. His research interests span a relatively broad range, including the movement of light around black holes, the formation of heavy elements, and even describing modes of climate change.
