Pride Month picnic in Yoyogi Park! 🌈 ✨

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ June is pride month, when we celebrate the LGBTQ community!
Tokyo’s pride festival (Tokyo Pride) is from June 7-8 this year, but in order to allow people to attend various events we are holding this on the weekend after Pride.
Let’s celebrate Pride month by having a picnic in Yoyogi Park!

📋 Tentative timetable:

1. 13:00 meet at Harajuku station, west exit near Meiji Jingu
2. Go to Yoyogi Park
3. 13:30-16:00 Find a picnic spot if I haven’t already scouted one out
4. Eat food and socialize

🌱 The above schedule is just a suggestion, so we can play it by ear. Let’s decide what to do when we get together on the day of.

🌱 If you have a favourite activity like cards or a board game you’d like to share, feel free to bring them.

🌱 This is a drop in event, so feel free to come and go as you please! But it would be best to meet at 13:00 at the station so no one gets lost.

🧳 What to bring:

• *Your lunch, snacks since this is a vegan meetup, please make sure all your food is vegan even if you won’t be sharing your food.
  Please note, since this is a picnic and not a potluck, you don’t need to bring food for everyone, but if you would like to bring food to share that is more than welcome!
• Reusable plate/bowl/cutlery/chopsticks
• Water, tea or sports drink
• Weather appropriate clothing, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc
• if you have one, a picnic blanket/cushion (I will bring a big tarp, but just in case)
• Your smile!

Important
⚠️ You don’t have to be LGBTQ to participate in this meetup. Straight allies are more than welcome. However, please be considerate of everyone’s identity or gender presentation. Homophobia and transphobia are not allowed.
⚠️ The picnic will be cancelled in the case of rain. In that case, let’s check out a nearby cafe or restaurant (tba)
