Tokyo's book club for people who actually read — and want to meet people who do.
No assigned books. No homework. Bring whatever you're reading: paperback, Kindle, manga, English or Japanese and join us.
A typical meetup:
- Hang out and chat for the first 20 minutes (show off your book if you like)
- Read quietly together for about an hour
- Optional coffee, food, or drinks nearby after — stay as long as you want
We started as a small park reading circle in east Tokyo (rated 4.8★ by our members) and we're growing across the city: park mornings, cafe sessions, evening reads + izakaya, riverside walks with a reading stop, and seasonal trips.
Everyone's welcome — Japanese and international readers, all ages, first-timers especially. Come alone; most people do. We keep things friendly and respectful so everyone can actually relax. House rules are short: be kind, read books, don't be creepy.
