"Not so sweet results from starbursts"

Starburst galaxies, where star formation occurs at a rapid pace, are in important stages of galaxy evolution. This month, Dr. Nanase Harada (NAOJ) will discuss the latest findings from these energetic galaxies, based on groundbreaking observations from ALMA and the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST).

Dr. Nanase Harada received her Ph.D. at The Ohio State Univversity, and did postdocs at the Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy (Bonn, Germany) and the Academia Sinica Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics (Taipei, Taiwan), before her current position as an assistant professor at the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ) and SOKENDAI.
