Nerd Nite Tokyo #82: Making Glass and Climate Class

It’s the spooky month and we welcome you all back to Study Abroad Pub in Shin-Okubo, for another pair of illuminating and clarifying talks.
You know what’s spooky? Climate change. But our first speaker, Minami Shinohara, will talk about Climate Fresk, a collaborative card game that aims to provide actual understanding and cognizance of the ecological challenges that haunt us all, and perhaps inspire us into action.
Shifting from the climate to the silicate, our next speaker is CJ Hostetter, whose talk is about glass and how it is made. From fundamental chemistry to coloring and shaping, their talk is sure to reshape your knowledge of this wondrous material.
Doors open at 7 PM. Come early and get your drinks and socialize before the show starts at 8 PM!
