Nerd Nite Tokyo #68: Social / Anti-Social

Details
While the Tokyo Business Meetup is on hiatus, we would like to highlight an event that we believe many of our members would enjoy.
Nerd Nite Tokyo is a social event on Friday nights each month, presenting talks on a wide variety of topics in science, literature, history, the arts, engineering, technology, the environment, and current events. Think of it as a more casual form of TED.
Here's a brief description of this month's event from the organizers:
Every month, we gather some smart speakers and a curious crowd, add a bar, and create something unique. This month, we’re in Sugamo to learn about concealed criminal knowledge and billionaire-resistant social media! As always, we will have cafe food and craft beer on tap.
First, psychology researcher Robin Orthey will discuss his research on detecting fabricated cognitive deficits and concealed knowledge related to criminal activity. Then, Edmund Edgar takes us on a nerdy tour of AtProto, the open protocol behind social network Bluesky!
Drinks (both alcoholic and non) as well as food will be available. Check out the menu here and come early; we’re opening the doors at 7 PM. Drink, meet, and be square-y! Kids are also welcome at Nerd Nite.
