Sunday midday update

Super unfortunate but we've just been informed by Sansan that the rooftop courts are unavailable this evening, so today's event will be held using the two indoor courts only.

We've already contacted everyone individually.

✅ If you were one of the first 12 players to complete payment, your place for tonight has been confirmed.

✅ If you paid but were not among the first 12, we've also contacted you and have processed a full refund of your ¥3,000 payment.

This is obviously not how we were hoping to launch our first event, and we're disappointed too. However, we're determined to make the most of the evening, and we're looking forward to a fun session on the indoor courts.

The good news is that we'll be back again this Wednesday! At this stage, the weather forecast looks much more promising, and we're planning to use all four outdoor courts.

We've also decided to change our payment policy. From Wednesday onwards, there will be no advance payment required— pay when you arrive at the venue.

Finally, we'll continue aiming for a maximum of six players per court, as we believe this provides the ideal balance between plenty of game time and the opportunity to socialize and meet new people.

Equipment Provided

No gear? No problem.

We provide balls and paddles (rackets) are available to rent
from Sansan for ¥1 000 (¥500 per hour) for the full 2 hour session

Only non marking sports shoes. Tennis, badminton, volleyball and other sports shoes are all fine, provided they have non marking soles

🚶 From Ikebukuro Station (JR, Tobu Tojo Line, Seibu Ikebukuro Line & Tokyo Metro): Approximately 10 minutes on foot via Exit 35 (Sunshine City) to the Sansogo Ikebukuro Building (4th floor).

🚶 From Higashi-Ikebukuro Station (Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line) :

🚗 By car : There is no on site parking. Please use one of the nearby paid parking facilities, such as the Sunshine City public parking lot.

🎾 Event Breakdown :

6:45pm – 7pm

A short beginner friendly introduction to pickleball. We'll cover the basic rules, scoring, court positioning and answer any questions before play begins. As pickleball is still relatively new in Japan, many guests will be trying it for the first time. Over the next few days, we'll also be sharing a few short videos, so if you're new to the sport, please watch them before the event to help you get the most out of the evening

7pm – 9pm

Organized doubles play with rotating partners, grouped by experience
level wherever possible, ensuring everyone gets plenty of games, meets
new people and has lots of fun!

Reception : 4th floor (Indoor courts : 4th floor • Changing rooms : 5th floor
• Outdoor courts: 6th floor)

✨ Launch Event Special : ¥3 000

To celebrate our very first pickleball event at Sansan, the launch event fee is just ¥3 000 - the lowest price we can possibly offer for a 2 hour session at this fantastic venue.

We're absolutely committed to making our launch event a huge success, with all courts full and a fun, energetic atmosphere from start to finish!

(Includes admission to the Pickleball Social Night, use of 6 courts (2 indoor & 4 outdoor), organized doubles play with rotating partners and balls)

Paddle rental and non marking indoor sports shoe rental are available
separately from the venue for ¥500 per hour each.

(Please note that the Sansan accepts cashless payment only)

And as a special bonus :

Ladies will receive a complimentary drink voucher and gents will receive a ¥500 discount for entry voucher for Tokyo International Parties social events.

Please note that both the drink vouchers and the ¥500 discount vouchers are valid only for Tokyo International Parties social events and cannot be used for Tokyo International Parties Pickleball events.

❌ Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received via LINE or WhatsApp before 7pm on Friday,
Jul 31st will receive a full refund

As court reservations and event arrangements are finalized in advance,
no refunds will be available for cancellations made within 48 hours of
the event.

☔ Rain Policy

In the case of rain, play will be limited to our two indoor courts

If this happens, we'll notify everyone no later than 4:45pm
(at least two hours before the event).

The first 12 players to have completed payment will automatically be
confirmed for the indoor court time.

All other paid players will automatically receive a full refund.

Registering and paying early is the best way to guarantee your place
should the weather not cooperate.

大変残念なお知らせですが、サンサンより屋上コートが今夜は利用できないとの連絡を受けました。そのため、本日のイベントは屋内コート2面のみで開催いたします。

既に皆様に個別にご連絡済みです。

✅ お支払い手続きを完了された先着12名様は、今夜の参加枠が確定しております。

✅ お支払い済みで先着12名様に含まれなかった方にもご連絡し、お支払いいただいた3,000円を全額返金いたしました。

・18:45〜19:00：初心者向けレッスン

プレー開始前に、基本ルール、スコアリング、コートポジションについて説明し、ご質問にもお答えします。

・19:00〜21:00：ダブルスゲーム

ダブルス（パートナー交代制）のプレイを行います。可能な限り経験レベル別にグループ分けし、参加者全員が十分なゲーム数をこなし、新しい人と出会い、楽しい時間を過ごせるよう配慮しています。

ピックルボールは日本ではまだ比較的新しいスポーツなので、多くの方が初めて体験されることでしょう。

今後数日間、短い動画をいくつか公開予定です。ピクルボール初心者の方は、イベント前にぜひご覧ください。イベントをより一層楽しんでいただけるはずです。
