■About the Group Training
“Our goal is to have a refreshing training by practicing karate techniques that will maximize flexibility and muscle strength!
Also, we’re going to practice a variety of stretching exercises and light physical workouts that will help us improve our conditioning.
Let’s sweat and have fun together at the old-downtown area of Tokyo!!”
[The Main Program]
⚫︎Stretching&Exercises
-A variety of stretching exercises with a standing position
-Will work on using each part of the body flexibly
⚫︎Basic Karate Attacks and Blocks
-Punches and other techniques
(eg. back fist, sword hand, etc.)
-Blocks and defense techniques
⚫︎Kumite Workout
※kumite…freestyle fighting in martial arts
-Basic combinations with steps
-Defence Drills against soft stick dummys
⚫︎Mitt Drills
※Will make a pair with other participants and the host will teach you how to hold mitts carefully
-Practice punches and kicks with mitts
-Practice combinations
⚫︎Physical Workouts
-Body weight trainings
-Cardio Excercises
(eg. Pushups, Squats, Burpees, etc.)
■Event Host: Karate Comic Ryo(Ryo Wakabayashi)
Your host, Ryo has been dedicated to Kyokushin Karate, which has been popular around all over the world, for 18 years.
Until 2013, I had participated in the competitions held in Indonesia, Russia,Denmark, and in 2013, he has got the 3rd place at the world championship(-75kg) held in Bulgaria. Also, he has got the 1st place at All-Japan Championship(-80kg) at the same year.
In 2020, he has passed the promotion exam and got the 2nd Dan of the black belt.
As an instructor, he has taught many students from kids to adults, and in 2023 & 2025, he was invited to the international camp in Cape Town, South Africa as one of the instructors.
