Hot air balloons, food trucks, and pyrofireworks

This event is put on by the City of Rossford and is sure to be as big of a hit today as it was in 2018 when I attended with 29,999 of my closest friends. Yes, 30,000 people meant parking was a nightmare, but I got lucky and parked at Aldi's or at the small strip mall across the street. People were being encouraged to park at the Meijer's down the street. The photo for this event was taken at that event and doesn't clearly represent the number of people in attendance.

The schedule of events for Saturday, the 17th follows:
4-11 food trucks
5-11 beer garden
5-9 kids activity area, TOCA parking lot
4-9 vendor booths
4 pilot meet and greets
5-9 helicopter rides
6-7:30 live music, Distant Cousinz
6:30-7 mass ascension - hot air balloon evening flight
7-10 tethered balloon rides $15
8-11 live music, the Menus
9-9:30 hot air balloon GLOW
9:30-10 Glovation circus
10 Pyromusical fireworks

Bring your own chair. I think you can bring in your own food and drinks, but I'm not sure. We usually can't drink alcohol in outdoor public places.
Chances are there is a temporary fence around the beer garden where alcohol may be consumed.

The most difficult aspect for us baby boomers will be finding each other among the 29,999 other people. If it is setup like 2018, there will be a temporary fence separating the people from the balloons. You should be able to see that in the photo. To me, that's the best area to see the balloons especially when they start their GLOW routine. I will have a balloon tied to my chair.

If things have moved around a bit, the second place to meet will be at the first food truck just off the main road. We have phones and should be able to find each by keeping our phones available for calls. If we need a third place, and let's hope we don't, it will be in the general area of the porta potties. We can always move once everyone is there.
