Sierra Nevada backpack
Here is a caltopo map with the days segmented It's best on a computer to look at profile and change map types. This is an 8 day plan which is pretty tough a couple days. Day hike Whitney is going to be nice https://caltopo.com/m/LHHL Next Aug a backpack trip on the Jmt 110 mi. 8-9 days or option to exit at kearsarge pass if you wish after 5 days. There is a trailhead there 7 miles off the JMT. Would need a shuttle which can be arranged to town of Independence. We will fly out Renting car if we have 3 or more Maybe less. We may park at trailhead up at exit. We can take bus to town and catch a bus to cottonwood lakes or if we have 3-4 people use a shuttle Day 1&2 we hike 24 miles to Whitney set up camp for 2 nights while dayhiking Whitney day 3 The rest of the trip goes to the bishop pass trail and up over the pass then ending at South lake. This trip is pretty strenuous. Many passes above 12k ft. Alternative travel is ok if you make arrangements for yourself. There is a bus from Reno AP. Lone pine Ca.
