Tolkien Club of the Western Suburbs

The Tolkien Club is gathering on J.R.R. Tolkien's birthday (January 3rd) to toast to the Professor! Join us at Tipster's Village Pub in North Riverside. At 9:00 PM, we raise a glass to the memory of the creator of Middle-earth.

The toast can be done with any beverage, alcoholic or non-alcoholic. Simply raise a glass and say "The Professor!"

For the rest of the meet-up, we encourage anyone who is working on something creative (a short story, novel, poem, drawing, painting, etc.) to bring a sample of their work to share with the group. Let's support and encourage each other as Tolkien and the Inklings did at their own meetings. If you're not working on anything, we'd still love to have you join us and hang out.

The Village Pub is at the corner of Cermak and 10th Ave. in North Riverside. Please note that 10th is one way so you may need to take 9th and go around the corner to get to the parking lot.
