Qigong For Health: Liver & Gallbladder Meridian Health
Details
Dates: March 6, 13, 20, & 27
In March, we turn our attention to Liver and Gallbladder health, aligning with the rising energy of spring and the Wood Element in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
In TCM, the Liver Meridian is responsible for the smooth and harmonious flow of Qi (life force energy) throughout the body. It plays a vital role in emotional regulation, digestion, blood circulation, and detoxification, and is closely connected to the eyes, tendons, and overall flexibility—both physical and emotional.
The Gallbladder Meridian works in partnership with the Liver, supporting clarity, decisiveness, courage, and the ability to take aligned action. When these meridians are balanced, we experience greater ease, vision, motivation, and resilience. When imbalanced, we may notice frustration, irritability, tension, indecision, headaches, tight hips or sides of the body, digestive challenges, or difficulty adapting to change.
Key aspects of Liver & Gallbladder meridian health include:
Emotional balance: The Liver is closely linked to emotions such as anger and frustration, while the Gallbladder relates to confidence and decision-making.
Physical symptoms of imbalance: Eye strain, headaches, muscle tension, menstrual irregularities, digestive discomfort, pain along the sides of the body, hips, or neck, and general stagnation or fatigue.
Energetic flow: These meridians govern movement, flexibility, and the smooth expression of energy—perfectly aligned with spring’s energy of growth and renewal.
In this month’s classes, we will learn and practice Qigong forms specifically designed to support balance, circulation, and optimal energy flow through the Liver and Gallbladder meridians, helping to release stagnation and cultivate vitality.
The weekly Friday classes are practice-based, meaning we spend less time in the intellect learning the “why” and “how,” and more time embodied—feeling, sensing, and experiencing the practice directly.
Each class includes:
- A gentle Hatha Yoga warm-up
- Qigong forms for Liver & Gallbladder meridian health
- Breathwork and visualization techniques
- Space to restore balance, clarity, and ease in both body and mind
Start class anytime during the month.
Enrollment options:
