Too Young Too Simple Fridays

Details
We’d like to invite you to our next event, where we’ll be discussing something that’s currently freaking out half the creative industry: AI and photography.
Our speaker is none other than Xiaobo Fu, one of our studio’s founders and, frankly, someone who knows more about AI than most people claiming to on LinkedIn. Xiaobo has spent the last 10 years working at the intersection of photography and digital art. He’s currently doing his PhD in Computer Arts at Goldsmiths, and back in 2021, he helped win the Google AMI Research Award with a project that taught AI how to write calligraphy and graffiti by moving.
We’ll dive into his work exploring how machine learning and image processing are not just tools but provocations, changing how we create, see, and think about images. From the slick aesthetics of algorithmic photography to the real differences in how AI and social media play out in China vs the West. If you’re curious about what AI actually means for image-making and where photography ends and technology begins, this one’s for you.
See you there! (Unless you're scared of robots)
