Kayak from Shepherdstown Boat Ramp on the Potomac River (Class 1 like a lake)

Bring your own kayak, life vest and paddle, or rent them from Pedal and Paddle in Shepherdstown, WV for $60 if you book 48 hrs. in advance.
They deliver the kayak to the boat ramp and pick it up at 6 pm when we're done. Let them know this is Dianne's Meetup event so they group 2+ together as that is required.

We're going to take it easy drink beer and nature watch but some of you can compete and go crazy if you like. Whatever!

We can meet for lunch at noon at the Blue Moon Cafe and go down the street to the ramp from there. BYOB but hide it as it is not legal to drink any alcohol on the river.
We can also go to dinner afterwards at the Bistro 112 (French cuisine with outdoor seating). Let me know if you want to do dinner as I have to make a reservation.

Wear a bathing suit and maybe a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen but definitely bring something to drink and munch on like trail mix to keep your energy levels high. Bring a towel and change of dry clothes for dinner and/or drive back.

12-1:30 pm - lunch at the Blue Moon Cafe (200 E High Street) or you can BYO picnic near the boat ramp
2-5 pm - kayaking from Shepherdstown boat ramp
5:30-7 pm dinner at the Bistro 112 (112 W German Street)
7-8 pm drive back (or get a motel room)
