💼🧠 Neurodivergent Co-working & Networking 💬🌈
This **coworking and networking** meetup is for neurodivergent people to get our tasks/projects/work done and to connect with other neurodivergent, whether for focus work or just finding someone who understands what you’re working on.
**PLEASE READ THE EVENT DESCRIPTION BELOW:**
So we can be self-accountable for our own comfort.
**Location:** Werkräume inside Humboldt Forum https://maps.app.goo.gl/Jw5totHbQadfsJsE8
The **exact area** of Werkräume where we cowork will be updated in the **pinned comment on the event page**, as it is a public space and we cannot reserve a specific spot.
**How to find Werkräume:**
* **If you are starting from the Front Desk:**
Find the large escalator behind the front desk. Go up to the 1st floor (one level above ground floor).
* **If you are starting from the Humboldt Bistro:** go to the other building. Find the escalator and go up to the 1st floor (one level above ground floor).
* **Final Destination:** On the 1st floor, look for the Werkräume sign.
**What to expect:**
* We usually use **[Pomodoro method](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pomodoro_Technique).** **When you are late** and the session has started, just take a seat and start working until break time.
* However, **feel free to work with how you are most comfortable with.** What's important is, we all become accountability buddies.
✨ **Notes:**
1. **This a public place so bring your sensory management tools (earphone, stim toys, etc).** We can´t control the environment if there are other groups having their activities.
2. **The Werkräume can't be reserved** so we will all help each other by occupying the seats.
3. The place has wifi, locker and toilet.
4. The space has power plugs, but only in specific areas. Please ensure your devices are charged before coming.
5. **Food & drink:** there is a Bistro but pricey. Feel free to bring your own. **IMPORTANT:** No eating in the Werkräume. Use the public visitor seating instead.
6. **Bring a coin for the locker.** Security may ask you to store bags in the lockers outside the Werkräume.
7. **PLEASE EDIT YOUR RSVP if you can't come.** This helps us better manage the coworking session. Your update is much appreciated.
8. **All organizers are volunteers who are neurodivergent individuals.** We ask you to **be kind to us** and for your **support in making the event an enjoyable** for everyone.
**Till then busy bees!**

Become a Landlord/lady. Werde Vermieter/in.
We make landladies and landlords. They buy a flat and pay just 1/4. 3/4 come from tax cuts and tenants. It's not a trick. It's government policy. All German Federal Governments, past and present, of whichever party, want taxpayers to become landlords and -ladies, buy property, rent it out to tenants and enjoy passive income later.
Come here and find out. No strings attached. No sales. Just a meet and greet for orientation.
Kucken kostet nichts.

Berlin Sprachcafé. Learn and practise German easily (A1-A2)
The Language Café is primarily aimed at people who are struggling with their mental health which can make it hard to go to regular courses. We want to create a safe space for everyone to learn and practise without pressure. Everyone is welcome! Please try to be on time so we can all get started together :)
We mainly practise on a beginner/lower intermediate level and adapt to everyone's prior level of German.
The Language Café will focus on teaching you the most important words and phrases and basic grammar in German. The content of the course is adapted to real life. (everyday life in Germany, dealing with authorities, etc.) We will cover different topics every week and you can join us anytime, since the topics do not necessarily build on each other.
The Sprachcafé is for free.
\*If you cannot make it please cancel your participation so someone else from the waiting list can join, thank you!\*

🔵
The **Queer Meditation Group** provides **LGBTQIA+** individuals, with a safe space to engage in an exploratory approach to meditation through gentle body tuning, breath awareness and conscious sitting practice.
Each of the facilitators will bring their experiences in Mindfulness, Zen, Vipassana and other forms of meditation.
The body-mind and the senses are explored as doorways into meditation. The purpose of this exploration is to become more conscious of your Self at many levels. Beginning wherever we are, this approach to meditation has an open goal of harmonizing with the present moment. The focus is on slowing down, unwinding tension and relaxing the nervous system.
**General Information:**
* Previous meditation experience is not necessary.
* This event will be in German and/or English depending on participant needs.
* The Queer Meditation Group is leaded by a rotating group of four facilitators.
* This event can be attended as one of two free monthly events, which are included in the **[we are village Mitgliedschaft](https://wearevillage.org/en/produkt-kategorie/memberships-en-2/)**.
🔵

The Three Days: Easter Vigil
The Easter Vigil is the church’s oldest and most powerful Easter celebration—the night where we move from **darkness to light**, from **death to life**, and from **silence to joy**. We begin outside (weather permitting) with **new fire**, listen to the big story of God’s saving love through Scripture, renew baptismal promises, and finally sing the **first “Alleluia!”** of Easter.
And when the service ends, the celebration keeps going: **stay for Easter Midnight Brunch**—a warm, festive (and very human) way to welcome Easter together.
### What to expect
A longer service than usual (and worth it): candlelight, readings, music, prayer, and a joyful turn into Easter. You can participate fully, participate quietly, or simply observe—then come share food and conversation after.
### Tonight includes
* **Service of Light** — **new fire** (a big fire in front of the church), the Paschal candle, and candlelit procession into the dark church
* **The Great Story (Readings)** — a sweeping set of Scripture readings tracing God’s faithfulness (creation, deliverance, promise, hope)
* **Baptismal Thanksgiving / Renewal of Baptism** — water, promises, and the reminder that Easter begins at the font
* **First Alleluia** — the return of “Alleluia!” after Lent, and the proclamation of the resurrection
* **Holy Communion** — bread and wine at Jesus’ table as Easter begins
* **Easter Midnight Brunch** — good food and drink, treats, and a chance to celebrate and connect
### Explicit welcome
**All people are welcome—no exceptions.**
That includes ALL people, skeptics, seekers, exhausted Christians, first-timers, English speakers and non-native speakers, families with kids, and anyone who just needs a place where hope is practiced out loud.
### Good to know
* This service is **candlelit**—kids are welcome (and wiggly is okay).
* If we begin outside, dress for the weather.
* You’re always free to step out for a breather.
* Photos/recording: not during the service.
If you’ve never experienced the Vigil, this is the night that makes Easter make sense—and brunch is the cherry on top.

Humanist Program
The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event.
We will be hearing from Becca Powell, Director of Advocacy and Outreach at Unchained At Last, an organization whose mission is dedication to ending forced and child marriage in the United States through direct services and systems change. Unchained At Last's mission clearly meshes and addresses several of our Humanist Ten Commitments. Becca will educate us about an issue many of us may not be familiar with--but should be.
Food and drinks will be provided at the event. Feel free to show up a little bit early to hang out and talk.
Going forward our meetings will be hybrid. You can meet us in-person or attend online

Men's Group meetup
**The idea for this group is to build a community where men can gather together and build connections & learn and grow from each other.**
How we start each meeting is by each of us checking in with our "roses and thorns" aka what are the good things and the bad things going on in your life recently?
Then we will go into a topic discussion.

**COMMUNITY AGREEMENTS**
\*\*THERE WILL BE A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY FOR NO-SHOWS. IF YOU RSVP TO A MEETING AND FAIL TO SHOW UP WITHOUT NOTICE, YOU'LL BE REMOVED FROM THE GROUP. THIS IS TO PRESERVE THE INTEGRITY OF THE GROUP\*\*
1. Confidentiality - EVERYTHING that is shared NEVER leaves this space so that this space remains safe and sacred. There is a zero tolerance policy for this. If a man is in violation of this, they will be permanently removed from the group.
2. Non-Judgement - we respect and honor every man’s truth so that we may receive the same from others. While we may not agree on everything, we commit to respecting every man’s perspectives and engaging in honorable discussion with one another.
3. Be committed - honor your commitment to this group and to yourself. If you attend a meeting, please commit yourself fully to the meeting. Also be committed to your own journey. When we fail, we own it & clean it up.
4. Speak from the heart - this is NOT a space to “look good”, have the “right” answers, and have it all together. Relax and know you are not alone. Be exactly who you are within the safety of this space.
5. Be supportive - This means always willing to provide encouragement to your fellow men, encourage action and momentum in each other’s lives.. Be willing to challenge each other. Be willing to hold each other accountable.
6. Participation - what you receive from this community will be a reflection of what you put into it. Period. We ask that you share your perspectives, reflect on others, and give/receive support when and where it’s needed.

In person peer-led support group for survivors of complex trauma
**Complex Trauma Support Group**
Our group is intended for survivors of complex trauma. If you are here, it’s likely that so much of who you are and what you have experienced in this life is actually invisible to most people––to family, society, coworkers, and the people who are around you.
We are a peer-led group of survivors creating opportunities for ourselves and others to share our experiences, share support, and build relationships in kind community together. Survivor experiences might include: child sexual abuse, incest, child trafficking, and other experiences of people living with traumatic dissociation and complex PTSD.
**What to expect at your first meeting:**
Currently, we are offering a bi-monthly in person group at 2:00pm on the first and third Sunday of the month. The only criterion for joining the group is that you are a survivor of trauma wishing to have more kindness in your own life and share kindness with others, and that you agree to practice to group’s relational agreements available for view here: https://www.kindgroups.com/agreements. Joining the group is free of charge.
We ask that new people connect with us for 30 minutes on the phone or on zoom before coming to their first group, so that we can determine together that we are a good fit.
Our meetings last approximately 90 minutes. Participants are never required to share. You’re also welcome to choose a pseudonym and you will never be asked for private information. You are welcome to leave at any time.
The kindness that survivors can share when among others who have survived similar childhood experiences is something we rarely get to experience. Time spent with others who understand even a little bit more about us is a relief. Our hope is to help ourselves and others experience that we are not alone. We wish for our efforts to be a cause of kindness in our own lives and the lives of each other.
You can read more about the groups at www.kindgroups.com.
