We at Freesalsa Ireland believe in growing the community, something our friend DJ Leo also believes in. Therefore, we are delighted to promote his weekly practice here on our Meetup for those of you looking to spend their Sunday in the best way. There will be a 60-minute lesson before social with the award-winning DJ Leo until 17.00. This week, a ghost bound to a crumbling building in Hell's Kitchen is preventing a redevelopment operation by the landlord. The firm will try to defend the ghost's rights and help uncover the reason why the landlord is so desperate to move on and erase the building's history. * 🧑‍🚀 **Wojtek** guiding a starship crew through an abandoned colony in the sci-fi survival horror scenario, *Mothership: Another Bug Hunt*. Join us for coffee, a chat and bring your project at the CHQ (fully accessible venue). We're usually at the tables in the middle of the building - just look out for the yarn :) There's a choice of cafes, including the Bakehouse & Starbucks. There's no charge for the meetup but we ask please that you join our Whatsapp group if you plan on staying with the group. Cost is only €5 a year to pay for Meetup subs etc.

We're hosting another in-person writing session - back in COSTA Dawson so we can sit together comfortably. What is a write-together? It's a couple of focused writing sprints (30 mins each) with breaks in between for for snacks and chats. It's a chance to get some writing done and to meet other writers. All are welcome, old hands and newbies alike, and you can write whatever you like. To find us, go downstairs and seek out the people with laptops and notebooks.

Jugger is a fast paced but easy to pick up sport that is great for beginners. Its like a combination of tag rugby and fencing and is a great way to meet new people and then hit them with a padded stick. Its light contact and the only gear you need to bring is clothing you are comfortable running around in and some water.

It’s about getting together in a real space, doing something practical, and seeing what ideas and connections might grow from there. On the day, we’ll: * Get our **hands dirty** with some light garden work and soil prep * Do some **seed sowing** and talk about what grows well locally * **Make kombucha together** and chat about fermentation, food, and simple home practices * Share knowledge, questions, and experiences around growing food * Enjoy some **fellowship, chats, and a bit of craic** along the way.Alongside the practical side, we’ll also have an open, informal discussion about a bigger idea: * The possibility of **small community “park farms” or gardens** in underused green spaces around Dublin * What that might look like, what’s realistic, and whether others feel drawn to exploring it further There’s no pressure, no expertise required, and no expectation beyond showing up with curiosity and a willingness to pitch in.
