Wir bieten allen Interessierten die Möglichkeit, mit Elektronik zu basteln. Workshops und Vorträge zu verschiedenen Themen rund um Elektronik und Software sind willkommen. Von Arduino bis zu komplett selbst entwickelten High-End Schaltungen sind wir für alle kreativen Ideen offen. Wir haben auch Gruppen rund um das Nähen, Programmieren, Retro Computer. Wir treffen uns immer am Dienstag und am Freitag ab 18:00 Uhr. Egal ob Anfänger oder Profi – hier seid Ihr jederzeit Willkommen. Ihr könnt mit anderen fachsimpeln oder auch mit unserer Hilfe Eure ersten elektronischen Gehversuche starten. **Folk Tales in Watercolour - Illustration Workshop** This month-long workshop explores **European folk stories, forest spirits, witches, and strange old myths through watercolour.** Drawing inspiration from figures like Baba Yaga and other eerie, ambiguous characters from across Europe, we’ll work with narrative, mood, and symbolism. Across four sessions, participants will experiment with watercolour techniques suited to storytelling: **loose washes, layered textures, limited palettes and character creation.** We’ll look at how folklore can shape visual worlds—crooked houses, deep woods, animal-human figures, and half-remembered legends—and translate those ideas into expressive paintings. Open to all levels. A \~2 hours watercolor, gouache or tempera painting lesson. **About this course** The total watercolor, gouache or tempera course consists of around 30 lessons that last 2 hours each. You can join at any time during the course. At the start of the event you choose which material you will use. The lessons will happen almost every Tuesday at 19:00-21:00 in Berlin. This course is aimed at introducing the painting process with watercolor, gouache or tempera as the main medium. These lessons cover the various techniques and methodologies. This time is special again - the **Computerspielemuseum (Computer Games Museum)** is hosting us - so we get to be there after hours, check out the exhibition and play arcade games together! **Capacity is limited. A curious psychologist turned artist, an imaginative online community & generative AI technology: What happens when they collide? Step into the unexpected — join us and shape the story! "Tales of Texture" is a collection of A3 sized mixed-media paintings, featuring unique and hand crafted textured elements (Texture Peelies). The series explores the dynamic interplay of vibrant, surreal neon colors and organic, earthy textures. With each piece the artist invites viewers to explore the depths of their own imagination and uncover hidden forms and stories within the layered textures. Online comments and interpretations of the original paintings inspired the artist to bring the comments to life using genAI technology. The aim of this exhibition is to continue the dialogue with the audience outside of the virtual and within the real world. **About the Artist** Danica Ružić is a Berlin-based contemporary artist whose vibrant and whimsical works captivate audiences, spark joy, and inspire self-reflection. Born in Zagreb, Croatia, Danica navigated frequent relocations in her youth, with art and family as her constants. Her background in psychology fuels her fascination with the therapeutic potential of creativity. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Danica turned to urban sketching, which deepened her self-exploration and healing through art. Her more recent abstract paintings, characterized by bright colors, magical creatures, rainbows, and glitter celebrate childlike imagination and invite viewers to embrace self-discovery. Danica's mission is to inspire others, showcasing creativity as a powerful tool for healing and self-expression. She encourages celebrating the beauty and intricacy of the Self, advocating for authenticity and vulnerability in a changing world. Just kind of depends on the feel of the group where we gather. * **What is with posting the seat numbers?** * A good practice we've found is to post our seat numbers when we have ordered tickets for a movie. This is just another way for members of our group to find each other as it might not be immediately obvious who is here as part of the group event: some events are at public movie theaters, after all. You are not by any means obligated to post your seat number if you do not feel comfortable doing so, just something we've found that works nicely for encouraging some socialization. * **Will there be food?** * General guideline: if the movie starts at 7ish pm or later, you might wanna have dinner first or plan on buying movie snacks. Restaurant kitchens tend to close around 9-10pm. We sometimes do go to restaurants after movies as a group, but moreso bars whose kitchens may or may not be open. Plus, kind of bad manners for a group to descend upon a bar when the kitchen is closing is 10 minutes lol. Bars are just convenient social places, there is zero pressure to drink but there just aren't many places open late when we may leave movies. There is potential to order or provide food for group events, but it should not be expected unless stated in the event description. * **How do I stay in contact with the group after the movie?** * We have another app we use for discussion because Meetup is somewhat cumbersome to use for casual conversation. This is a group for like minded people interested in understanding, leveraging, using, creating for, profiting from, trading too i suppose, NFT's.. everything around them, complexity, fear and exploits, best practices and more. **PLUS** This group will talk AI ART tools, techniques, artists, video, audio, prototypes and more in the AI assisted production space- ART specifically, but we can get into any aspect of some of the cooler things happening in AI in general.

Dale Gnidovec, Curator of the Orton Hall Museum of Geology at The Ohio State University, will be presenting a program he has wanted to share with us for a long time: Plate Tectonics. His description of his program: Continents on the move - Nothing in Earth history makes sense without moving continents - it tells us why mountains, volcanoes, minerals, and fossils are where they are. This talk examines the evidence for continental drift, why it was disbelieved, and explains how the more-encompassing theory of plate tectonics was developed and eventually proven. Dale is an energetic, incredibly knowledgeable, and very entertaining speaker and this will be another wonderful program by Dale. Hope to see you there! Food and drinks will be provided at the event.
