There is an entry fee of $6/person + tax for this event If you do not RSVP for the even by noon on the day of the event the price will be $8+ tax. 2. As a cafe we offer coffee and other beverage options. We would greatly appreciate that you not bring outside drinks into the store 3. We serve our own for and snacks and do not permit outside food and drink, except from the other businesses in the plaza to support our neighbouring small businesses 4. Please see our photo gallery for a sample of the games we play. We do not typically table mass market games (Chess, Clue, Monopoly etc.) We often table a variety of games, new and old, to keep things fresh. It is not required that you bring any games yourself, although it is appreciated if you do. In that case, please be prepared to teach whichever games you bring. Please do your best to support our excellent hosts for the past 3 years, Temple Bar Oakville. The focus for each event is to have fun so please adhere to our event etiquette (Jan 2026): 1. Please show up on time (we usually start the non-filler games right when the event starts). 2. Please only attend an event if you've already **RSVP'd**. Please change your **RSVP** status if you have to cancel (we typically wait a bit if we think you're stuck in traffic). 3. Please be kind to other players at your table: * No excessively long turns * No silly arguments over rules (if there's ambiguity, just agree on something temporarily for the evening) * No rolling back your moves in previous turns 4. **Social Pool Night in Downtown Toronto (King & Spadina)** Join us for a relaxed and social evening of pool right in the heart of downtown. The Board Games event is a fun, sociable and charitable event We are a fun, friendly and kind group of people mostly in our 20s, 30s and 40s. Beginners are welcome! We are a very inclusive and social group and we teach people how to play games they have not played before :) We provide a variety of 40+ board games. The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~20 per person. Soft drink refills are 1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind.
