Bridging the Implementation Gap in AI for Stroke Interventions
**Join us for our next Machine Learning in Healthcare meetup in Berlin â proudly sponsored by the QUEST Centre!**
Pizza is still back!
We are very happy to announce our speaker **Frank te Nijenhuis**, who is a PhD candidate at the ICAI Stroke Lab at Erasmus MC in Rotterdam. With a background in medicine and computer science, he develops deepâlearning models to support realâtime clinical decision-making during stroke treatment.
**His talkÂŽs title is:**
**Bridging the Implementation Gap in AI for Stroke Interventions: Challenges and Opportunities**
**Abstract:** In recent years, rapid advances in artificial intelligence (AI) have led to a proliferation of AI models in medical imaging. However, despite promising performance in research settings, many of these models have yet to translate into meaningful clinical impact.
In this talk, Frank will highlight several AI models developed for stroke imaging and examine the barriers that hinder their implementation in clinical practice. He will explore potential pathways to overcome these challenges and conclude with an interactive discussion on co-creation as a strategy to bridge the gap between innovation and real-world adoption.

Berlin Sprachcafé. Learn and practise German easily (A1-A2)
The Language Café is primarily aimed at people who are struggling with their mental health which can make it hard to go to regular courses. We want to create a safe space for everyone to learn and practise without pressure. Everyone is welcome! Please try to be on time so we can all get started together :)
We mainly practise on a beginner/lower intermediate level and adapt to everyone's prior level of German.
The Language Café will focus on teaching you the most important words and phrases and basic grammar in German. The content of the course is adapted to real life. (everyday life in Germany, dealing with authorities, etc.) We will cover different topics every week and you can join us anytime, since the topics do not necessarily build on each other.
The Sprachcafé is for free.
\*If you cannot make it please cancel your participation so someone else from the waiting list can join, thank you!\*

Silent Reading Club
Ditch the old book club, where everyone has to read the same book...this is better!
It works like this: Bring your own book. Come chat, have some tea or coffee, get to know your neighbors. Then we quietly read together, side by side, for about one hour, each one reading their own book, and afterwards we talk with each other about what we are reading.
The usual agenda:
- Arrival and introduction (~20 minutes)
- â Silent reading (~1 hour)
- â Discussion (~30-40 minutes)
- â Join us for a bite at a local restaurant afterwards, if you like!
You may read in any language, you may read any book. We are a group of international residents of Berlin from many different countries, of all ages, and we converse in English. We welcome you!
No registration needed â the event is donation based. All funds support the Offenes Wohnzimmer.

In-Person Event: The Answers to Depression & Anxiety
This is an in-person meeting. At this meeting you will get answers to depression and anxiety. Find out the source of them and how to get rid of them.
Did you know that unwanted emotions like anxiety, depression, unhappiness, loneliness, hopelessness, anger, fear, or feelings of irritation donât just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not due to a chemical imbalance in your brain from some nebulous chemical reaction "by chance".
Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you.
The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life.
Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life.
Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there.
This group is created by the Hubbard Dianetics Foundation of Central Ohio and Church of Scientology of Central Ohio.
Stop Guessing: A Product Person's Guide to AI Adoption
## đ€ Host Information
A co-hosted event by ProductTank Columbus & Women in Product Columbus
đĄ About the Workshop
AI adoption is stalling across organizations â not because of a lack of motivation or tools, but because it's fundamentally a behavior design challenge.

Whether you're a product manager, on a product team, or just someone trying to get AI to actually stick at work, you'll leave with a clear picture of what's worth focusing on, what to ignore, and how to drive real, sustained adoption â no guesswork required.
