**A meetup for neurodivergent adults in Paris.** I’m neurodivergent myself, and I haven’t found the kind of space I’d actually want to go to here — especially in English. After the first meetup, a few people mentioned that walking felt easier than sitting across a table — so I thought we’d test that too. We’ll meet on the Pont des Arts and go for a slow walk along the river. No structure really. No pressure to constantly talk. Just moving, chatting if it happens naturally, and existing around people who get it. This is for people with ADHD, autism, AuDHD, OCD — or if you just feel like your brain works a bit differently. Pour cette nouvelle rencontre, **WP Paris** accueille **Jason Rouet** et **Antoine Sirven**, pour présenter **Mediapapa**, une extension WordPress conçue pour reprendre le contrôle de sa **médiathèque** — sans avoir besoin d'être un expert technique. **Antoine** témoignera pour nous de son expérience d'utilisation de cet outil destiné à optimiser la **gestion des médias** de WordPress. Il se sert actuellement de l'extension pour la refonte d’un site **gérant 100000 médias**. Son expertise de **développeur** nous éclairera sur la question des médias et de la **médiathèque** dans WordPress, et les caractéristiques de cette nouvelle extension. Jason, le product owner de cette extension, apportera précisions et réponses aux questions sur ce produit. Pour celles et ceux qui le peuvent, nous prolongerons la soirée autour d'une table dans le quartier. Profitant de la présence de Jason, qui est par ailleurs président de WPFR, nous aurons l'occasion d'échanger à propos de la communauté WordPress.

Hi Badminton Fans! Come and join us every Sunday for a fun session of badminton. There are usually 2 sessions to choose from, **This 11 am - Open Session is open to players of all levels.** **If you are a complete beginner -** Talk to us first before signing up, and we can try to make accommodations and maybe have beginners-only court to begin with, with one of the organisers ready to explain all of the basics, such as serving, scoring, rules etc, as well as some pointers to help you progress. **Which Session To Choose** If you're unsure of your level, sign up for the 11am session to start, or ask us! We will try our utmost to ensure that you play with people of similar levels. **What Do You Need** Don't worry about equipment; racquets and shuttlecocks are provided, and there's no need for a badminton license or insurance. Just bring your indoor sports shoes, and a willingness to meet new friends and have lots of fun. There are changing rooms and showers. **Get There Early** Try and get there early to change and get warmed up so that we can start right on time. The courts are normally not being used before we play, so we can get a little extra time playing. **Registration & Payments** Registration is 14€ per person, and you can sign up via PayPal through this event page. For alternative payments, check for available slots on the event page first. Then, submit your payment via https://revolut.me/jonathwu3q with a description of which event you are signing up for, and send the screenshot to one of us so that we can add you. *Please Note: If your name is **not** in the attendees list and you do not have confirmation from us, you will be turned away.* **Annual Membership Option** For regular players, there is the option to take out an annual membership. This costs 80€ for the first year and is renewable each year for 40€. This reduces the weekly registration fee to only 10€ per session. **No Refunds** In the case of a cancellation or no-show, there are no refunds. See you all on the court on Sunday. We are an international group and everyone speaks English! 2. Are there still available slots? I can’t sign up! Help! * Check the bottom of the event page for availabilities. Once full, RSVPs will be closed. Sign up as early as possible because the events fill up very quickly. 3. I signed up, but I can’t make it! Can I get a refund? * No refunds for cancellations or no-shows. If you inform us early enough, we can try to find a substitute and refund you, but no guarantees. 4. Why can’t I get a refund? * We need a fixed number of participants to maximize court usage, court fees, team arrangements, and team rotations. Cancelations throw all of this off. 5. Do I need to bring anything? Water? Racquets? Birdies? * If you have your own racquet, that will be best! Otherwise, we have spare ones and we provide the shuttlecocks. Bring enough water to hydrate yourself.

Come out and debate whether AI is good or bad. My hot take: a labor-saving tool that could potentially help cure cancer gets called dangerous because it might raise unemployment or cause a speculative investment bubble, that tells you a lot more about capitalism and the economic system we live under than it does about the tool itself. As a computer programmer, I think AI is a wonderful tool that has increased my productivity by at least an order of magnitude. I'd go so far as to say Claude Code is the best tool I have ever used. Debate me and name a better one. Is AI potentially dangerous? Yes, but so are a lot of tools. Chainsaws. Steam engines (early ones would occasionally explode and kill everyone in the room). Do you think cavemen sat around debating whether fire could be used as a weapon or for self-harm, and decided not to discover it? I have two friends who hate AI for opposite reasons: one thinks it's a fad and not useful, and the other thinks it's going to take over everything and cause human extinction.
