Join us for our Squash Sessions happening every Monday / Wednesday / Thursday 6pm to 8pm or 8pm to 10pm Suitable for beginners to the Squash Regulars. Each Session is $15 for pay per play. In this work, it is common for coaches to carry more than they have space to reflect on. ​Coaching supervision provides a reflective space for coaches to slow down, notice what they are carrying, and make sense of how their work and the wider system are impacting them. ​This session introduces the essence of coaching supervision through guided reflection and peer conversation. Participants will experience how supervision supports clarity, choice, and sustainability in coaching practice. ​**Bio** Lyn Wong works at the intersection of coaching, facilitation, organisational development, and reflective practice, supporting people and systems navigating complexity and change. She is a leadership and team coach, facilitator, and coaching supervisor who accompanies leaders and coaches working in human systems where answers are rarely straightforward and dynamics often unfold beneath the surface. ​Grounded in Gestalt and systemic perspectives, Lyn brings over 25 years of experience across corporate, public, and non-profit sectors locally and internationally. We organising a co-working + socialising session for all of us who like to work on something (e.g. our own project, freelance or remote work) but feel working alone at home can get a bit lonely :-) To ensure that we have both socialising AND working, we will be using the so called “Pomodoro” technique: **50min of deep work** (silent), followed by **10min of break** to socialise. Have you done LPA? Most of the Singaporeans either done it wrongly or have not heard of it. Many people have heard of an LPA (Lasting Power of Attorney), but aren’t fully sure what it actually means or how to prepare it properly. In simple terms, an LPA allows you to legally appoint someone you trust to make decisions on your behalf if one day you’re unable to do so yourself (for example due to illness or an accident). I’m offering one-to-one LPA sharing sessions for those who would like a clearer, practical understanding. The Fellowship of the Star Schema: Transforming OLTP Data for Power BI One does not simply build reports on OLTP data. Join us on an epic journey from the depths of raw, normalized tables to the shining halls of a well-modeled star schema fit for Power BI greatness. We will demystify the differences between OLTP and OLAP, walk through star schema vs snowflake (and why Power BI has a clear favorite), and show you the compression differences between normalized and columnar storage that will make you never look at an OLTP model the same way again. We will cover the different types of dimensions, when to use them, and how to handle Slowly Changing Dimensions without losing your mind. You will leave knowing exactly how to identify a bad model, how to convert OLTP data into a clean star schema, and how to forge relationships that rule them all. Whether you are a data wizard, a curious hobbit, or somewhere in between, your models will never be the same.

The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event. Some trained COUNT volunteers work together once a month at RMH (http://www.rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer.php) as Housewarmers (usually on the 1st Sunday from 1 – 5 PM). Some schedule other shifts at their convenience. You may try this out with less fuss by following a "Fast track" or go through the normal process. Fast track • Arrange a time to shadow a COUNT volunteer. Call Dave Nohle at 614-268-9558 (cell). • Show up and try it out. • Complete application, etc. later. Normal process • Complete an online application (http://rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer/). • Attend orientation in advance. • At orientation you will complete forms agreeing to keep family/patient info private and allowing a background check and tour the facility. • Complete one training shift. Daily shifts are: morning 9 AM - 1 PM, afternoon 1 - 5 PM and evening 5 - 9 PM. • Schedule shifts online using the on the RMH scheduling system (http://www.volgistics.com/ex/portal.dll/?FROM=32895). The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) provides housing and meals for families with sick children. The Columbus RMH is the largest in the world with 137 rooms. COUNT has been volunteering there since May 2014. Housewarmers work with RMH guests to provide a home-like environment - greet, assist with family needs, answer phones, give tours, assist with checkin/checkout, prepare guest rooms after checkout, clean facility, laundry, restock supplies and staff the front desk. RMH Housewarmers volunteer at least one four-hour shift a month. All Housewarmers must complete an application and agree to a background check before they can be full fledged volunteers.
