Face-to-face Role Playing Game Session

Our next monthly meeting. Class flow includes introductions, a guided meditation, open discussion, an activity related to practice, announcements, and closing sit.

We will be playing two games of Concordia with up 5 players each. All experience levels welcome. Expect the game teach to start promptly within the first 10 minutes. Concordia is a strategy game of economic development set in Roman times. Guide a roman dynasty. Send out colonists to settle down in cities producing bricks, food, tools, wine and cloth. Develop your trade network. Appease the ancient fods for their favor. Players choose their actions in Concordia through playing and acquiring new action cards. By updating your RSVP when you can't make it other players on the waitlist will have a chance to attend. No-shows may make it harder to attend future meetups. Also, all library rules apply to this meetup event. Mainly that no food is allowed in the library. Covered drinks are allowed.

Expect a fun afternoon of drawing and socializing with like-minded artists! Although each Session is 3 hours, feel free to drop in as your schedule permits. This is a casual gathering, and we know that people might only be able to stay a little while -- drop in, and stay, as long as you are having fun, and as your day allows. **Note: about RSVP's, please respect the RSVP process. If you RSVP YES, you are commited and we are all looking to seeing you. If your plans change however, that's OK, but please be courteous and change your RSVP to NO. We are reaching the headcount limit regularly now and it is rude to take a spot and not relinquish it if your plans change... Respect others; don't be rude. Thank you for your cooperation**. Head to the Divination classroom up in the tower for a fantastic tea party! In addition to a wide selection of teas to sample, we will also have fun trying to read tea leaves. Will you see the grim at the bottom of your teacup? We certainly hope not! Bring a savory or sweet dish to share that is appropriate for a tea party (think: small sandwiches, cookies, shortcakes, deviled eggs, sausage rolls, brie bites, etc.) Cost is $10 per attendee to cover clubhouse rental fees.

*You sit in a metal folding chair, drinking weak coffee out of a styrofoam cup. Looking around the other contractors in the room seem just as disinterested as you in the commercial playing out on the tv in the front of the room. A bright red rocket with a cartoon grin flies past other rockets in various states of injury and disrepair, lamenting that they'll never get fixed because their insurance coverage was so bad. Finally it ends and the rocket is replaced by some corporate stooge going over the claim you'll be investigating for the company, the total loss of the archaeological research vessel, the Iron Scarab.* Mothership is a science fiction horror rpg with a focus on roleplaying and narratives shaped by player choices. Players will take on the role of a crew scavenging derelict ships, investigating remote outposts, encountering strange new alien threats, and trying to survive the inhospitable environment of outer space. No experience is necessary to join these sessions. I'll go over some of the core mechanics before the game, the rest is simple enough to learn as you go. When Gorum died, shards of his divine being rained down. One of these warshards landed in an ooze being transported outside of Oenopion. The newly-empowered creature escaped its confines and headed south towards the Mana Wastes. The Nexian forces haven't be able to deal with it, and have turned to hiring mercenaries. The Pathfinder Society learns of this chance to get their hands on another warshard, and has an arclord ally get them on the short list of candidates. The PCs must prove their mettle over the other candidates before tracking this newly divine war ooze along the borders to the waste. What's more, the Mana Wastes themselves aren't going to make this mission any easier, and no one yet understands the full impact that warshards might have on creatures, so there's no telling the capabilities of this warooze. Arkham Horror Third Edition is a cooperative board game for one to six players who take on the roles of investigators trying to rid the world of eldritch beings known as Ancient Ones. Based on the works of H.P. Lovecraft, players will have to gather clues, defeat terrifying monsters, and find tools and allies if they are to stand any chance of defeating the creatures that dwell just beyond the veil of our reality.
