We make landladies and landlords. They buy a flat and pay just 1/4. Tenants and tax cuts pay 3/4. It's not a trick. It's government policy. Our Federal Governments, past and present, want taxpayers to become landlords and landladies, buy property, rent it out to tenants and enjoy passive income later. Come check this out. No strings attached. No sales. Just a meet and greet for orientation. And an after work drink. Kucken kostet nichts. Architectural Kata #7: AI-Enabled Architecture
Architectural Kata #7: AI-Enabled Architecture
*This event is a collaboration with our friends from Software Design Berlin check out their Meetup page [here](https://www.meetup.com/software-design-berlin/) and sign up there!* \-\-\- **RSVPS:** **Please sing up on the event page from Software Design Berlin with [this Link!](https://www.meetup.com/software-design-berlin/events/313519484/)** **About the evening** Ready to flex your architectural muscles… with a new twist? Join us for our first **AI-Enabled Architectural Kata**, where we'll tackle a real design challenge together, using generative AI as a collaborator in the architectural process. Small teams will work through a complex scenario, but this time each team gets a unique **AI collaboration role** that shapes how they interact with AI during the session. Expect lively debate, creative solutions, plus an honest reflection on where AI helps and where human judgement still reigns supreme. Join us at **Thoughtworks Event Space** for an engaging evening dedicated to software design and architecture. Whether you're a seasoned architect, an AI-curious developer, or just passionate about software design, this meetup is the perfect platform to share, learn, experiment with new ideas and meet passionate people. **Event Schedule** * **18:15** – Doors open for snacks, drinks, and socialization * **18:45** – Introduction * **19:00** – **AI-Enabled Architecture Kata**: Small teams' work session * **20:30** – Presentations by teams **❓ What is an Architectural Kata?** Inspired by the concept of “Code Kata,” Architectural Katas are exercises that allow architects to practice their skills in a real-world scenario. It's about honing our craft in software design through practical, hands-on challenges in small groups. Read more about Architectural Katas on [Neal Ford](https://nealford.com/katas/about.html)'s website or on the [original Katas site](https://www.architecturalkatas.com/) by Ted Neward. **What makes this one AI-Enabled?** Building on the classic Architectural Kata format, this edition adds a new dimension: **AI as a team member**. Each team receives a unique role card that defines how they collaborate with AI during the session. The goal isn't to see who can prompt the best. It's to explore together how AI changes the way we think about, discuss, and communicate software architecture. **What to bring** Please have access to at least one AI tool on your phone or laptop (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar). We'll provide a short prompting cheat sheet for architectural AI collaboration to get you started. No prior experience with AI for architecture work is needed! **Venue** **Thoughtworks Event Space**, Revaler Str. 31, 10245 Berlin *(Please note that this is a different entrance from the Thoughtworks office located at Revaler Str. 29)* **Sponsored by Thoughtworks** A big shout-out to [Thoughtworks](https://www.thoughtworks.com/) for sponsoring our event and supporting our mission to foster a tight-knit community of software design practitioners. **Code of Conduct** We adhere to the [Berlin Code of Conduct](https://berlincodeofconduct.org/) to ensure a welcoming and respectful environment for all participants. **Spread the Word** We believe the more, the merrier! If you think this meetup resonates with your friends or colleagues, please feel free to share this event with them. Your personal recommendation would not only enrich our community but also enhance the overall experience for everyone involved. You can easily share this event by forwarding this invitation or sharing our event link on social media. 🍺 New in Town: Neukölln Social & Drinks
Moving to Berlin is an adventure, but let’s be real—the "Berlin Schnauze" (the city's famous bluntness) can be a bit intimidating, and finding your people takes time. Whether you arrived last week or last year, if you’re looking to break out of the "expat bubble" or just find some friendly faces in your neighborhood, this is for you. We’re gathering at **Ä Stube**, a cozy, alternative gem in the heart of Neukölln. Think dim lights, great music, and a relaxed atmosphere where you don't have to shout to be heard. We can't wait to welcome you to the neighborhood. 🥨✨

Berlin Aspiring Landlords Meetup (First Time Buyers)
Berlin Aspiring Landlords Meetup (First Time Buyers)
Are you an **Aspiring Homeowner**? You know you want to buy, but the Berlin market feels like a black box. The "standard procedures" aren’t exactly common knowledge, and the fear of making a costly mistake is real. We created **Berlin Real Estate Talks** to bridge that gap. We’re opening our doors for an evening of networking and knowledge-sharing specifically for those at the very beginning of their journey.

Lousy & Lazy SC - Mixed Friendly Football
Do you like to play football - but relaxed and not with competitive or aggressive players? Are you a bit lazy, a bit old, a bit unfit or not so talented? Are you tired of insecure bros who only want to show off their skills? **Then [Lousy & Lazy Football](https://www.instagram.com/landlsc/) is the right thing for you!** We are a group of friendly people who just want to have a relaxed kick. All genders, ages (+18) and nationalities welcome. **Feel free to join the waitlist even if it seems long - sometimes we make the event larger and play on two pitches (24 players, four teams) or even three pitches (36 players, six teams), depending on demand.** Note: **We do not allow high-studded football boots during our sessions.** To avoid injuries, we only play with "Multinocken" (multistuds) or shorter. Please have a look here: [link](https://www.11teamsports.com/de-de/fussballschuhe/multinocken/). Rules for lazy & lousy football 1. **Don’t be competitive** 2. **No hard tackling/sliding challenges** 3. **Support new players by giving them the time and space to play the ball** 4. **Don’t dribble past multiple players (trying to take on a player is fine but at no point should you be trying to dribble past multiple players).** 5. **Don’t close down the defenders too quickly. Give the team a chance to play the ball out.** 6. **Rotate the goalkeeper** 7. **Be a teamplayer** Waiting list: This meetup is for members of the Lousy & Lazy Sport Club. If you want to try out our lousy & lazy sport events, you can do a trial run (Probetraining).

Humanist Program: Fighting the Efforts to Insert Religion into Public Education
The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event. Food and drinks will be provided at the event. Feel free to show up a little bit early to hang out and talk. Our March speakers are Molly Gaines and Zack Parrish, co-organizers of the Secular Education Association: They will share their story of how a small group of Ohio parents grew into a national organization tracking released-time religious instruction and other church–state issues in public schools. The presentation will cover SEA’s early wins and hard lessons, what we’re seeing nationally right now, and how local advocates can play a meaningful role in protecting public education. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of the landscape — and practical ways to get involved. Going forward our meetings will be hybrid.
