🍇 **UPDATE: Change of Plans for This Sunday** Good news: I found an easy way to reach the wineberry patches, so we won’t have to trek through thorns and brambles or cross any streams. Bad news: After checking several wineberry patches over the past week, it's clear the berries need just a little more time. A late frost appears to have delayed the season, and most of the berries are still unripe. Rather than hike out only to find slim pickings, we'll give them another week or two to finish ripening. This is probably for the best anyway. The forecast is calling for a very high heat index, making an off-trail hike through thorny thickets much less enjoyable. **Instead, let's get together for coffee, pastries, and conversation!** We'll meet at **Tous les Jours** in Gaithersburg (1 Grand Corner Ave P0, Gaithersburg, MD 20878) at **11:00 AM**. We will be biking on the Capital Crescent Trail, the C&O Canal pathway, and McArthur Blvd with separate biking lanes. This tour captures the essence of adventure and natural beauty.
