Arborescence by Rhett Davis is a near-future Australian eco-fiction novel about a phenomenon where people mysteriously transform into trees, exploring themes of environmentalism, human connection, and what it means to be human. The story follows a couple, Bren and Caelyn, as Caelyn becomes fascinated by the movement of people choosing to stand still and root themselves, while Bren remains skeptical, creating tension as the world shifts towards a new, greener reality.
