What is it like to be a dog? In this session we'll spend an hour in the world of my dog Monty. We will consider his extraordinary nose, his vision, and the strange new neuroscience of how he perceives. We will use that as a way into one of the deepest questions in philosophy: what consciousness actually is, and why it's so hard to explain through science. This session will be led by James. A relatively recent book on the subject I can recommend is *Being You: A New Science of Consciousness* by Anil Seth. Amator viene del latín: *el que ama*. Es la raíz original de la palabra "amateur". Hoy en día, usamos "amateur" casi como un insulto, o para decir que alguien no es lo suficientemente profesional, que le falta nivel o que es un "aficionado". Pero en su origen, ser un Amator es alguien que hace algo por el puro placer de hacerlo. Por amor al arte, a la técnica o al momento, sin esperar una recompensa externa, una métrica de rendimiento o un resultado perfecto. Two weeks ago Yann LeCun and his team at New Yourk University published a paper http://yann.lecun.com/exdb/publis/pdf/lecun-06.pdf aimed to tackle a fundamental problem of AI -- world model, an obstacle that can keep us at the current level of LLM-s for potentialy centures, or can take us to singularity if it will be solved. To do this LeCun used EBM -- energy base models instead of classical probabilistic densities. We are planning to discuss energy based reasoning from mathematical point of view and also discuss connected technologies and their perspectives. Una buona occasione per celebrare con coloro che partecipano, hanno partecipato o sono curiosi e forse in futuro parteciperanno a uno dei tanti modi di fare della filosofia una pratica riflessiva vitale e creativa per la vita quotidiana, per coloro che sono convinti che la filosofia sia un mondo importante da riscoprire a livello popolare (al di là dell'Accademia). Un modo per celebrare la filosofia del dialogo come il cuore di questo nuovo universo che deve essere esplorato insieme in molti modi diversi. Ma soprattutto un pretesto per celebrare due anni in cui abbiamo percorso strade, vicoli e piazze, dove abbiamo occupato caffè e associazioni, siamo entrati in case private e abbiamo fatto riflessioni pubbliche, sempre seguendo il cammino maestro della scoperta di sé stessi e del mondo, con nuova fiducia nelle nostre capacità di pensare, di essere e di parlare con gli altri (e con se stessi). Ecco perché è bello fare festa! La festa è gratuita, ma con due condizioni fondamentali: - Ognuno porterà qualcosa da bere e/o da mangiare per tutti, in accordo con gli organizzatori della festa. - Sarà un momento per stare insieme, e poi partecipare ai giochi e alla musica dell'evento.
