!ENGLISH! MONDAY DOUBLE SESSION / CAFE - Philosophy Meetup: 19:30h - 21h
Hi and welcome to our next Socrates Café philosophy meetup!
Do you have a hunger for deeper understanding of yourself and the world? Do you value deep, honest and respectful dialogue?
If yes, then this meetup will be very interesting for you.
• WHAT IS A MEETUP ABOUT?
We ask, answer and discuss questions and ideas to stimulate critical thinking and to widen our perspectives with new concepts and thoughts.
The main purpose of these meetups is to enrich ourselves with the perspectives of others, not to convince others about our own perspectives.
Our meetups are about our own philosophies of life and not necessarily what the great philosophers and academics have said or written. It is not a debating club or a platform for proselytizing. Instead, we place the emphasis on questioning, open mindedness and challenging our own assumptions while listening to and respecting the views shared by others.
A Socrates Café meetup is considered a success when participants leave a discussion with many more questions than they had at the beginning.
• WHAT TOPIC IS DISCUSSED AT THE MEETUP?
Participants suggest topics at the beginning of each meeting. We then vote and choose that event's most popular topic for discussion. No academic training in philosophy necessary; just enthusiasm for exchanging ideas and points of view.
Some examples of subjects chosen on previous meetups:
* What ideals are worth dying for?
* Why are we never satisfied?
* Why is it that human beings know that the society is going wrong, leaders are well informed about it and things continue as is?
* Is identity necessary?
* How can it be that people in democratic societies are so obsessed with power? (Desire to be different, better, stronger than others)
* What is friendship?
• WHO PARTICIPATES AT THIS MEETUP?
Anybody is more than welcome to join our meetups. Our events gather people from different backgrounds, different cultures, while no philosophical background is mandatory.
Our usual participants are people that have a hunger for deeper understanding of themselves and the world. People that value deep, honest and respectful dialogue.
The inspiration for Socrates Cafe originates with the book of the same name, written by the philosopher Christopher Phillips. (Socrates Cafe: A Fresh Taste of Philosophy, 2002). Phillips felt that the Socratic method of dialogue and discussion should be practiced not just in academic settings, but among everyday people interested in examining deep questions together. Hundreds of Socrates Cafe groups now exist around the world. Masaje EMOCIONAL.

**Travel & Leisure x AI — Barcelona**
The travel industry has changed more in the last two years than in the previous twenty. The way travelers discover hotels, plan trips, book experiences, and choose where to eat is being quietly rewritten by AI — and the operators who understand this are pulling ahead fast.
This is a **free, half-guided networking evening** built to bring two worlds into the same room: people running travel & leisure businesses (hotels, tour operators, restaurants, agencies, activity providers, transport, retail) and the founders, builders, and practitioners actually shipping useful AI tools.
Not a lecture. Not a panel. Not pitches from a stage.
We'll kick things off with a short, guided framing of the most interesting shifts happening right now — then open the room up for real conversations between people who can actually help each other.
Whether you run a boutique hotel in the Gothic Quarter, manage a tour company, or build AI products looking for sharper use cases — this is the room.
What you can expect to hear in conversations:
* **How travellers actually find you now** — AI search, ChatGPT recommendations, and what's replacing Google for trip planning
* **Personalisation that doesn't feel creepy** — tailoring offers, itineraries, and follow-ups to each guest without a bigger team
* **Multilingual by default** — handling enquiries, reviews, and content across every market your guests come from
* **Revenue, demand, and pricing** — what AI is doing to forecasting and booking conversion right now
* **What to automate and what to keep human** — because hospitality is still a people business
Come with your current bottlenecks, your half-baked ideas, and the question you've been meaning to ask someone smarter than Google.
**Free to attend.** All levels welcome — operators, founders, AI builders, and the curious in between. No technical background needed. Just bring your business brain and a willingness to share what you're working on.
🍷Grow Your Business with AI in Bcn, connecting entrepeneurs
Curious about how AI is transforming the way we build and grow businesses?
Join us for a relaxed networking night in Barcelona where entrepreneurs, creators, and professionals come together to connect, exchange ideas, and explore new opportunities.
📅 **Saturday at 20:00**
📍 **Unplug Bar – Carrer Ataülf 18, Barcelona**
I have experience creating and implementing AI solutions for businesses, especially in the real estate and tourism sectors. During this meetup, we’ll talk about how AI is being applied in business right now — from automating processes and improving customer experience to creating travel solutions, digital products, and new business models.
💡 Real examples we’ll discuss:
• How AI can be used in real estate to automate client communication, qualify leads, improve property matching, and create faster follow-up systems
• How AI can be applied in tourism to create smarter travel experiences, including virtual guides, personalized itineraries, and multilingual support
• How automation can reduce costs, save time, and increase efficiency in service-based businesses
💡 What we’ll cover:
• How AI can help you grow your business
• Practical ways to implement AI today
• Opportunities in travel, tech, and digital business
• Networking, collaboration, and idea sharing
This is not a formal event — it’s a casual space to meet other entrepreneurs, build connections, exchange contacts, and explore ways to collaborate and create business opportunities together 🤝
Grab a drink, meet like-minded people, and talk about ideas in a relaxed atmosphere 🍻
We’ll also share a real example of how travelers are exploring Barcelona using AI-powered tools and virtual guides.

**The Gesture, and How to Build Tools Today**
Designing and building with LLMs is profoundly changing the way we work.
In this talk, we’ll explore the role humans play within the creative and technical process, how to build tools that remain useful in a constantly evolving environment, and what personal methodologies we can develop to work with greater clarity and intention.
We’ll connect these three ideas - design, human-AI collaboration, and durable systems - to reflect on how to develop our own way of working in the age of artificial intelligence.
*By Tomás Milgron, Senior Design Engineer at Taller Oliva.*

Design Talk: Fast 60, Coherent 40: Design in the AI Era
AI has made it easier to move fast, but not easier to know what matters.
As design teams adopt AI into their workflows, the challenge is no longer just output. It is coherence: knowing what to automate, how to measure value and how to lead people through a shift that is changing expectations in real time.
On 27 May, Greg Kozakiewicz joins us for a practical talk on design’s next competitive advantage.
The session will look at the “60/40” ratio in AI-driven design work, and what it means for designers, design leaders, and teams trying to stay strategically relevant while everything gets faster.
We’ll explore:
* Why speed is no longer enough
* What the “60/40” ratio means for modern design teams
* How to measure design value beyond taste and output
* How business thinking increase design’s influence
* Where design systems fit in the AI era How to manage teams, expectations and ambiguity right now
This is not a portfolio talk. It’s a practical session for designers who want to understand where the work is heading, how to stay useful and how to turn design into a clearer business advantage.

Prompting Is Not Magic: How to Give AI Better Context
Most people use AI like a search box: they type one sentence, hope for the best, and get frustrated when the answer is generic, wrong, or useless.
But getting better results from tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and other AI systems is not about memorizing magic prompts. It is about learning how to give the AI better context.
In this beginner-friendly session, we’ll break down how to make AI dramatically more useful by improving the way you communicate with it. You’ll learn how to give clearer instructions, provide examples, set constraints, ask for better output formats, and use follow-up questions to turn a mediocre answer into a genuinely useful one.
We’ll cover practical techniques you can use immediately for work, learning, writing, coding, planning, research, and everyday problem solving. We’ll also touch on why these same ideas show up in more advanced AI systems, including RAG, agents, evaluations, and AI workflows.
No technical background required. Bring your curiosity, your questions, and maybe one real task you wish AI was better at helping you with.
**What you’ll learn:**
* Why “better prompting” is really about better context
* How to structure requests so AI gives more useful answers
* How to use examples, constraints, and output formats
* How to iterate when the first answer is not good enough
* How these skills connect to more advanced AI workflows
This meetup is for anyone who wants to move beyond basic ChatGPT usage and start getting more practical value out of AI.
LOGISTICS AND PARKING:
The talk starts at 7:00 PM. The first half hour is reserved for everyone to get set up and mingle. Free pizza and drinks!
The cheapest parking option is to find street parking, which will only cost you a few bucks. Otherwise, park in the nearby veteran's museum lot for $8. It's highly recommended you avoid the nearby $15 garage parking.

**Abstract**
Like it or not, AI agents are now capable of turning a quickly written paragraph of requirements into a pull request that is ready to be integrated into real-world production applications and it's now our responsibility to make sure AI doesn't go rogue and take down prod - or corrupt our data by misunderstanding the requirements or our existing schemas. In this session we'll explore strategies to protect our codebases through unit and integration testing, documentation, and code review along with additional ways of providing context and guard rails to our AI agents as they carry out the work we've assigned them to do. By the time we're done, you'll have a firm grasp of the problem and understand some helpful options for protecting your codebase from vibe coding mishaps getting YOLOed into prod.

In-Person Event: The Answers to Depression & Anxiety
This is an in-person meeting. At this meeting you will get answers to depression and anxiety. Find out the source of them and how to get rid of them.
Did you know that unwanted emotions like anxiety, depression, unhappiness, loneliness, hopelessness, anger, fear, or feelings of irritation don’t just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not due to a chemical imbalance in your brain from some nebulous chemical reaction "by chance".
Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you.
The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life.
Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life.
Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there.

Men's Group meetup
**The idea for this group is to build a community where men can gather together and build connections & learn and grow from each other.**
How we start each meeting is by each of us checking in with our "roses and thorns" aka what are the good things and the bad things going on in your life recently?
Then we will go into a topic discussion.

**COMMUNITY AGREEMENTS**
\*\*THERE WILL BE A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY FOR NO-SHOWS. IF YOU RSVP TO A MEETING AND FAIL TO SHOW UP WITHOUT NOTICE, YOU'LL BE REMOVED FROM THE GROUP. THIS IS TO PRESERVE THE INTEGRITY OF THE GROUP\*\*
1. Confidentiality - EVERYTHING that is shared NEVER leaves this space so that this space remains safe and sacred. There is a zero tolerance policy for this. If a man is in violation of this, they will be permanently removed from the group.
2. Non-Judgement - we respect and honor every man’s truth so that we may receive the same from others. While we may not agree on everything, we commit to respecting every man’s perspectives and engaging in honorable discussion with one another.
3. Be committed - honor your commitment to this group and to yourself. If you attend a meeting, please commit yourself fully to the meeting. Also be committed to your own journey. When we fail, we own it & clean it up.
4. Speak from the heart - this is NOT a space to “look good”, have the “right” answers, and have it all together. Relax and know you are not alone. Be exactly who you are within the safety of this space.
5. Be supportive - This means always willing to provide encouragement to your fellow men, encourage action and momentum in each other’s lives.. Be willing to challenge each other. Be willing to hold each other accountable.
6. Participation - what you receive from this community will be a reflection of what you put into it. Period. We ask that you share your perspectives, reflect on others, and give/receive support when and where it’s needed.
