(RENTALS AVAILABLE) Anacostia River Paddle to Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens
(RENTALS AVAILABLE) Anacostia River Paddle to Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens
This is the first event of the year where you can rent a canoe or kayak. Scroll down for more information on renting from Prince George's County. Postponing this by a week, so hopefully the forecast is warmer and less breezy. I've adjusted the times so there will still be plenty of water to explore Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens. We'll shove off from Bladensburg Waterfront Park promptly at 1:30pm and head downstream towards Kenilworth, about two miles downstream. We'll do a loop around the wetlands and hopefully see some early blooms and plenty of birds. Once everyone regroups, we'll turn around and paddle back to Bladensburg, arriving before 4pm to accommodate rental returns. This is event is suitable for paddleboards (including iSUPs), recreational/touring kayaks, and canoes, but not inflatable kayaks. Everyone must WEAR, not just bring a USCG-approved life jacket or PFD. **RENTERS** The Prince George's County Parks Department rents single and tandem kayaks or canoes at this launch. You MUST reserve beforehand (several days before a nice weather weekend). Rentals run from 1pm-4pm. We will start paddling at 1:30 and be back at the ramp just before 4. **As a reminder, this group is geared towards paddlers with at least a modest amount of experience.** We do not offer instruction and highly advise against joining any of these events if you have never paddled before. Building Scalable Customer Identity Resolution Pipelines on AWS Using AI
Building Scalable Customer Identity Resolution Pipelines on AWS Using AI
Customer identity resolution becomes increasingly complex as organizations scale across multiple systems, regions, and data formats. Traditional rule-based approaches often fail to keep up with data variability, require constant manual tuning, and struggle with real-time processing needs. This session presents a practical approach to building a scalable identity resolution pipeline using AWS services and modern AI techniques. The architecture combines data ingestion through Amazon S3 and AWS Glue, transformation pipelines using Spark on EMR, and machine learning models deployed via SageMaker for entity matching and standardization. Graph-based relationship modeling is implemented using Amazon Neptune to improve resolution accuracy by incorporating household and shared attribute context. We will walk through how machine learning models can be used for name and address normalization, how intelligent blocking strategies improve matching efficiency, and how feedback loops can be introduced to continuously improve accuracy. The session also highlights how serverless components such as AWS Lambda can be used for orchestration and real-time processing. **SPEAKER BIO** Mosaic Syed is a Senior Data Engineering and Cloud Solutions Architect with over 20 years of experience designing and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions across global enterprise environments. https://www.linkedin.com/in/mosaic-basha-syed-92300856 **CALL FOR SPEAKERS** Learn more: [https://www.awscolumbus.com/get-involved/](https://www.awscolumbus.com/get-involved/) **THANK YOU** *VEEAM* for hosting our meetup! **🌸 Video Speed Dating with Cleveland Locals** You get to spend your time in rapid one-on-one Zoom dates with Cleveland locals in your age group matched for you, with a live host coordinating every round. Prior to the event, you take a short personality assessment — that information feeds the matching to line up well-matched Cleveland people for your rounds, which means the rounds feel more natural and less forced. Once the rounds are done, mutual matches are shared privately — so it is mutual or it stays private — and the connection is yours to explore in your own time. **Register by age group:** - **Ages 18-32** → [REGISTER HERE](https://tempodating.com/product?productId=476.0&productType=onlineSpeedDating&city=Cleveland&groupurlname=collective-of-singles-planning-dinner-parties&ar=18-32&face_v=3.0) - **Ages 30-46** → [REGISTER HERE](https://tempodating.com/product?productId=476.0&productType=onlineSpeedDating&city=Cleveland&groupurlname=collective-of-singles-planning-dinner-parties&ar=30-46&face_v=3.0) - **Ages 40-58** → [REGISTER HERE](https://tempodating.com/product?productId=476.0&productType=onlineSpeedDating&city=Cleveland&groupurlname=collective-of-singles-planning-dinner-parties&ar=40-58&face_v=3.0) - **Ages 55+** → [REGISTER HERE](https://tempodating.com/product?productId=476.0&productType=onlineSpeedDating&city=Cleveland&groupurlname=collective-of-singles-planning-dinner-parties&ar=55+&face_v=3.0) **⚠️ Two steps needed:** Meetup rsvp alone does not register you for the event, so click the appropriate age group link above, register, and do the personality quiz — spots run out faster than you would expect so register now, and this is not optional — both steps are required. --- **Event Info** - **Where:** Venue-free — on any modern device with a camera, a stable connection and a camera is all it takes, and your home a quiet office or anywhere suits equally well. - **Host:** A professional host handles everything so you just show up and enjoy, leaving you free to just connect — from start to finish your only job is to have good conversations. - **Vibe:** Easy-going private Zoom chats with Cleveland singles who are done with the usual options, and you leave with more energy than you arrived with. - **Duration:** Usually 75 minutes or so total, and the evening has a natural momentum. **You will love this if:** - Women and men from around Cleveland moving on from unread messages and dead-end conversations and need a better way to meet people. - Locals in Cleveland bored of profiles instead of real people and want to try something that actually works. - Residents based in Cleveland ready to move past matches that ghost after two messages and are ready for something genuine instead. **Here is the format** 1. **Register** – by using the link for your bracket above, then fill in the personality questions as part of registration, as completing both steps locks in your place. 2. **Join the video call** – using the link that will be sent ahead of time, it runs in your browser so setup takes seconds, and a host keeps everything smooth from that point. 3. **Have your dates** – quick private video rounds with compatible Cleveland area locals your age, while a host ensures every round feels natural, as each round is with a Cleveland local matched to your profile. 4. **Discover your matches** – mutual match details are sent privately after the event, so your info only reaches someone who also chose you, and the next move is completely yours to make. --- ✨ Try something that actually works — claim your place above and you are completely set for this session. Your matches are waiting to be found. 💎 ✨
