AI Policy Tuesday: AI Safety in Healthcare
AI Policy Tuesday: AI Safety in Healthcare
This is a ticketed event. Please register at [this link](https://luma.com/5seq0r1v). ***Who's governing the AI your doctor trusts?*** Healthcare AI is crossing thresholds faster than governance can keep pace. In Utah, an AI is now legally prescribing medication without a doctor. In January, OpenAI launched ChatGPT Health, and Anthropic released Claude for Healthcare. AI companies are benchmarking their models against expert clinicians' performance and rapidly closing the gap—and, in some cases, surpassing them. Meanwhile, Elon Musk is encouraging users to upload medical imaging to Grok for analysis. This talk will explore how today's fragmented regulatory approach creates systemic vulnerabilities that could amplify as systems become more capable. [Pascal Thibeault](https://www.uottawa.ca/faculty-law/common-law/faculty/thibeault-pascal)[ ](https://www.uottawa.ca/faculty-law/common-law/faculty/thibeault-pascal)will examine the growing chasm between AI deployment and AI governance in clinical care, and consider which governance frameworks might help prepare us for a future where AI systems operate with increasing autonomy. **Event Schedule** 6:00 to 6:30 - Food and introductions 6:30 to 7:30 - Presentation and Q&A 7:30 to 9:00 - Open Discussions If you can't attend in person, join our live stream starting at 6:30 pm via [this link.](https://www.youtube.com/@Trajectory-Labs/live) This is part of our weekly [AI Policy Tuesdays ](AI Policy Tuesdays)series. Join us in examining questions like: * How should AI development be regulated? * What are the economic and social implications of widespread automation? * How do we balance innovation with safety considerations? * What governance structures are needed for safer AI?

\*\*Please note that this event requires your name and email address for QR code to get access to the building on the event day, you must register or else you will not receive a QR code for access\*\* [Link ](https://forms.office.com/r/kUUNAxpugZ)to Registration: https://forms.office.com/r/kUUNAxpugZ ### Topic 1: Agentic DevOps: Redefining the SDLC DevOps just got an upgrade. Thanks to GitHub Copilot and other AI tools your pipelines can now think ahead, automate the boring stuff, and even nudge you when you’re about to break production (again). This talk dives into agentic AI—the kind of AI that doesn’t just wait for orders but actually helps out, like a proactive teammate who never sleeps. Agentic DevOps is a paradigm that combines human developer expertise with AI-powered tools and frameworks to enhance software delivery. While Microsoft popularized the concept, it’s not limited to their ecosystem. You can apply Agentic DevOps with: \- Coding agents like : Cursor\, Windsurf\, Claude Code\, Codex etc \- Local AI coding agents: Continue\, Cline\, Roo Open-source models: Llama 4, Mistral, DeepSeek, Qwen \- On\-prem deployment tools: vLLM\, SGLang\, TGI \- Agent Frameworks: LangGraph\, AutoGen\, CrewAI\, DSPy etc These are just few examples but choose your preferred tooling and infrastructure, whether on-prem or in the cloud with AWS, GCP, Azure, IBM Cloud, Oracle Cloud, or Alibaba Cloud. Agentic DevOps is about augmenting human capabilities with AI, not about vendor lock-in. Agentic DevOps is for everyone. We’ll show how Copilot helps you write, review, and ship code faster, while Azure keeps the infrastructure humming along. Think: smarter CI/CD, fewer “oops” moments, and more time to focus on the fun parts of building software. Expect real-world examples, best practices, and a few cautionary tales. You’ll leave with practical ideas for making AI a trusted part of your DevOps toolkit—without replacing the humans who still need coffee breaks. Whether you’re a DevOps engineer, team lead, or architect, this session will help you see how AI can make your life easier, your pipelines smarter, and your deployments a lot less stressful. Speaker: **Max Yermakhanov, Microsoft MVP** **Topic 2: Building a Secure Browser Agent with Microsoft AI Foundry & Azure Playwright Workspace** AI agents are moving beyond APIs and command-line tools — they are starting to reason and act inside real web browsers. In this session, we’ll explore how to build a secure, production-minded browser agent using Microsoft AI Foundry and Azure Playwright Workspace, enabling agents to autonomously navigate websites, interact with UI elements, validate outcomes, and report results with transparency and guardrails. Speaker: **Kaan Turgut, Hybrid Cloud Solution Architect** **Topic 3: Introduction to Azure SRE Agent** As organizations increasingly adopt cloud-native architectures, maintaining reliability and operational excellence becomes a critical challenge. Enter Azure SRE Agent—a cutting-edge solution designed to bring Site Reliability Engineering principles into the AI era. This session introduces the Azure SRE Agent, an intelligent, autonomous system that leverages AI-driven insights and automation to monitor, diagnose, and remediate reliability issues across distributed environments. Speaker: **Ehsan Eskandari, Microsoft MVP**

Casual Boardgames - make friends, then beat them in games
Casual Boardgames - make friends, then beat them in games
Welcome to Casual Boardgames, where we enjoy classic tabletop games and social deduction games while bonding over good food, drinks, and great conversations.
We started this group to meet new people and make new friends, and bonding over games in a relaxed atmosphere is a great way to do that. We currently meet near route 23 and Polaris Parkway, and this is close to areas like Powell, Lewis Center, Worthington, and parts of Westerville and Columbus.
Feel free to bring your own games or play one of the many games our members bring. If you are inexperienced, we will help you learn.
Here are just a few examples of the kind of games we play.
Tabletop/board games: Splendor, Catan, Azul, Dominion, 7 Wonders…
Social deduction games: Code Names, Chameleon, Werewords…
IMPORTANT:
1. While we love playing a variety of games and competing, we are not just about the games. We interact and talk while playing, and this leads to a lot of laughter and fun. If you just want to compete and focus solely on the game, then this is probably not the group you are looking for.
2. Many people join groups like this and never (or rarely) show up after weeks or months. If you join and never really come, we will eventually remove you from the group as a courtesy to our members. Why? Because limiting group conversations (on the app) to regular members makes communication and planning much easier. Also, while it may be rare, it protects members from people who join because they are interested in following a person instead of having a real interest in our group. If you get removed, it is just because you haven’t come, and we follow this protocol as a courtesy to our regular game players.
COUNT RMH Housewarmer Volunteering (Ronald McDonald House)
COUNT RMH Housewarmer Volunteering (Ronald McDonald House)
Some trained COUNT volunteers work together once a month at RMH (http://www.rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer.php) as Housewarmers (usually on the 1st Sunday from 1 – 5 PM). Some schedule other shifts at their convenience. You may try this out with less fuss by following a "Fast track" or go through the normal process. Fast track • Arrange a time to shadow a COUNT volunteer. Call Dave Nohle at 614-268-9558 (cell). • Show up and try it out. • Complete application, etc. later. Normal process • Complete an online application (http://rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer/). • Attend orientation in advance. • At orientation you will complete forms agreeing to keep family/patient info private and allowing a background check and tour the facility. • Complete one training shift. Daily shifts are: morning 9 AM - 1 PM, afternoon 1 - 5 PM and evening 5 - 9 PM. • Schedule shifts online using the on the RMH scheduling system (http://www.volgistics.com/ex/portal.dll/?FROM=32895). The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) provides housing and meals for families with sick children. The Columbus RMH is the largest in the world with 137 rooms. COUNT has been volunteering there since May 2014. Housewarmers work with RMH guests to provide a home-like environment - greet, assist with family needs, answer phones, give tours, assist with checkin/checkout, prepare guest rooms after checkout, clean facility, laundry, restock supplies and staff the front desk. RMH Housewarmers volunteer at least one four-hour shift a month. All Housewarmers must complete an application and agree to a background check before they can be full fledged volunteers.
