In collaboration with **Zalando Switzerland**, we explore how AI agents are transforming software engineering.
**Note:** These two talks will be held in **English**.
**1st Talk:**
Title: **Agentic Coding in the Wild**
**Ole Wendland** shares hands-on experience on delegating technical tasks while maintaining human oversight.
**The Core Concept:** Tasks like boilerplate, tests, and glue code are delegable, but **business logic and architecture** remain a human responsibility. The developer’s role shifts to a steering authority: **"Trust, but verify."**
**Key Takeaways:**
* **Precision Matters:** Agents execute what is explicitly described, not what is implicitly meant.
* **Real-World Challenges:** From complex debugging (symptom vs. cause) to potential knowledge loss through over-delegation.
* **The Shift:** Teams and organizations must adapt to a new, accelerated pace of development.
Discover how **Agentic Coding** drives massive efficiency when combined with clear control and structured processes.
**2nd Talk:**
Title: **Data Engineering with Codex**
**Andy Bloechliger**, Backend Engineer at Zalando
This talk offers a practical look at how a Zalando data engineer uses the Codex AI agent to automate daily workflows,
providing actionable tips for mastering agentic tools and a glimpse into the road ahead for AI-powered teams.

## Women Who Wonder
Intergenerational Women's Circle (Second Meeting)
Women Who Wonder is a biweekly circle in Zurich, for women between 18 and 108 years old. We sit together for 90 minutes, facilitated, not to advise but to share, listen to and witness each other.
When it's truly heard, your story becomes wisdom
Gathering in circles is one of the oldest human practices we know of. First Nations peoples in North America developed the talking circle with a talking piece to ensure that each person is heard. Women gathered in moon lodges, and in Anishinaabe full moon ceremonies women sit in a circle from youngest to oldest, passing wisdom between generations.
Since the industrialisation of the 19th century, we have been segregated into age groups: school classes, work, elderly people on their own. We miss out on exchange between generations, which research links to greater well-being, stronger resilience, and even longer lives.
This is why I created Women Who Wonder.
Each woman speaks without interruption and can ask for the kind of response she would like, or none at all. We pass an hourglass as our talking piece. Being witnessed this way creates a tangible, lifting energy.
Whether you bring the wisdom of elders or of youth, of motherhood or of those without children, join us.
### How it works
To create a safe and confidential space, every attendee signs our circle agreements on arrival. The essentials: we don't interrupt, we are non-judgemental, we don't fix, and we don't sell services. What is shared in the circle stays in the circle. You don't have to prepare anything. Just come as you are.
### About me
I'm Barbara, a coach, healer, and gynaecologist and obstetrician. In this circle I am a facilitator, not a medical advisor. I feel it is time for women to support each other, to learn with and from each other across generations.
### Practical details
The first three meetings are free. Places are limited to 20 women. Further meetings will be CHF 50 per session. Sponsorship is available on request.
The circle is held in Swiss German and English.

We all know that product work isn’t just about developing features.
It’s about making product work sustainable - from keeping discovery alive over time to getting products launched without wasting too much energy on alignment, stakeholder management, and organisational friction.
That’s often where product work starts to slip: discovery isn’t maintained, launches stall, and too much effort goes into managing the system instead of building the product.
Join the **Product Academy** community at Westpark Zurich for an evening of raw insights, real-world failures, and proven frameworks from two industry experts.
**Who is this for?**
* The Strategist: PMs who want to use Opportunity Solution Trees (OST) to build the right thing faster.
* The Change-Maker: PMs in large corporates are tired of "stalled" launches and stakeholder misalignment.
* The Lifelong Learner: Anyone looking to network with the Zurich product community.
**Limited spots available**.
**The Lineup:**
**Vivienne Clement (Product Owner @ Swiss Post)**
* Talk: What happens when the Product is ready, but the Organisation isn't?
* The Vibe: A deep dive into the "political" side of PMing. Learn how to manage stakeholder buy-in and overcome hidden resistance when **launching AI and B2B products** in large corporations.
**John Huertas (Product Manager @ Swiss Re)**
* Talk: Making Continuous Discovery & Opportunity Solution Trees Sustainable.
* The Vibe: Move beyond theory. John shares lessons from a multi-year journey of experimentation to show how teams can bring more discipline to discovery, improve prioritisation, and make product decisions with greater confidence.
**The details:**
* 📅 When: May 7, 2026
* ⏰ Time: 18:30 CET
* 📍 Where: Westpark Zurich
Grab your seat and let’s level up your product game together!

Practical AI for Power BI Developers
A year ago, “agentic AI” was mostly hype for Power BI teams. Today, it deserves your undivided attention. For Power BI pros, there is now a real opportunity to reduce repetitive development work, accelerate delivery, and help developers do more, but only when strong DataOps practices are in place to make AI workflows effective.
This session is a no-nonsense introduction to effective AI patterns for Power BI and Fabric development. Along the way, we will make sense of the growing pile of terminology, including skills, plugins, hooks, and MCP. You will see examples of how modern AI tooling can help with development tasks across Power BI and Fabric, along with the prerequisites, guardrails, and DataOps principles needed to use it responsibly.
Whether you're burned out on AI hype or already using Copilot CLI daily, this session will show you the foundations that are finally making AI-assisted development genuinely useful.
Customer identity resolution becomes increasingly complex as organizations scale across multiple systems, regions, and data formats. Traditional rule-based approaches often fail to keep up with data variability, require constant manual tuning, and struggle with real-time processing needs.
This session presents a practical approach to building a scalable identity resolution pipeline using AWS services and modern AI techniques. The architecture combines data ingestion through Amazon S3 and AWS Glue, transformation pipelines using Spark on EMR, and machine learning models deployed via SageMaker for entity matching and standardization. Graph-based relationship modeling is implemented using Amazon Neptune to improve resolution accuracy by incorporating household and shared attribute context.
We will walk through how machine learning models can be used for name and address normalization, how intelligent blocking strategies improve matching efficiency, and how feedback loops can be introduced to continuously improve accuracy. The session also highlights how serverless components such as AWS Lambda can be used for orchestration and real-time processing.

When judging morality, should we prioritize **intentions/duty** or **outcomes/results**? It introduces two influential philosophers as representatives of these approaches.
* **Immanuel Kant (deontology):** An action is moral when it is done from **duty** and follows rational, universal principles (the **categorical imperative**). Certain acts—like lying—are wrong regardless of the consequences; you can’t do a wrong thing for a right reason.
* **John Stuart Mill (utilitarian consequentialism):** The morality of an action is determined by its **effects**, specifically how much **happiness/well-being** it produces. Mill argues that some pleasures are “higher” than others, and that good intentions don’t redeem harmful outcomes.
## Discussion Questions
1. **The lying dilemma:** A murderer comes to your door and asks if your friend is hiding inside. Kant would say you must not lie.
2. **Can good intentions rescue a bad outcome?**
3. **The organ harvest problem:** A surgeon has five patients dying of organ failure and one healthy patient in for a checkup. Killing the one to harvest organs would save five lives, and the math works out for the utilitarian. Why does this feel so deeply wrong? Is that feeling a point in Kant's favor, or just a bias we should overcome?
4. **Do rules need exceptions?** Kant insists moral rules must be universal, with no exceptions. But most of us can imagine extreme scenarios where any rule seems like it should bend. Does the need for exceptions fatally undermine deontology, or is the strength of the system precisely that it refuses to bend?
5. **Who gets to calculate the consequences?** Utilitarianism asks us to maximize good outcomes, but we're notoriously bad at predicting consequences. If we can't reliably know the results of our actions, is it practical to base our entire moral system on outcomes? Does this uncertainty push us back toward rules and principles?
6. **Everyday morality:** Think about a real moral decision you've made recently, even a small one. Did you reason more like a Kantian (what's the right thing to do in principle?) or more like a utilitarian (what will produce the best result?)? Do most people naturally lean one way?
7. **Justice vs. the greater good:** A town can prevent a deadly plague by sacrificing one innocent person. The greater good is clearly served. But is it just? Can an action be morally right and deeply unjust at the same time?
8. **The big synthesis question:** Are these two systems actually opposed, or do they often arrive at the same answers by different paths? Is it possible that we need both: rules to guide us in the moment and consequences to evaluate systems and policies over time?
