Why Dating Feels Weird Now — A Casual Coffee Chat
Why Dating Feels Weird Now — A Casual Coffee Chat
Dating today can feel… off. Not necessarily bad. Just harder to read, less intuitive, more confusing than it used to be. Between dating apps, ghosting, mixed signals, shifting expectations, and different ideas of commitment, even people who are thoughtful, respectful, and socially capable often find themselves wondering: *“What actually works anymore?”* *“Is it just me, or has something changed?”* This meetup is **not** a workshop, a coaching session, or a group exercise. There’s nothing to prepare, nothing to prove, and no expectation to share anything personal. It’s simply a **casual coffee chat** where we talk openly about: * Why dating feels different today * What feels unclear or inconsistent * The gap between online dating and real-life connection * Observations, patterns, and perspectives people are noticing You’re welcome to: * listen quietly * join the conversation if you feel like it * leave whenever you want There’s no goal to fix yourself or to find answers on the spot. The intention is just to create a relaxed space to reflect, exchange viewpoints, and make sense of the current dating landscape — without pressure or labels. ☕ **Format:** Coffee & informal conversation 👥 **Group size:** Small and relaxed 📍 **Location:** (Belli E Buoni) Av. de Tervueren 36 · Bruxelles **⏰ Time:** 10:30am If dating has felt a bit strange lately, you’re probably not alone. Come have a coffee and talk about it.

Belgian Beer World Experience
Belgian Beer World Experience
The Bourse site has currently been designed to create a vibrant meeting place for all in a unique setting. There is 6 zones to discover the beer culture. Zone 1: Savour the Belgitude Belgium, the land of beer? That's for sure! Belgium boasts more brands of beer than any other country in the world. And another unique feature: Belgian beer culture has UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage status. Belgian beer quite simply holds an extraordinary mix of influences, creativity and... Belgitude. Discover what makes Belgian beer so special at Belgian Beer World. Here's a little teaser! Zone 2: DISCOVER THE UNTOLD STORIES For hundreds of years, Belgian brewers have been passionate, particularly responsive and curious. They have been able to develop new techniques, invent new combinations and exploit new technologies while ever preserving their heritage, roots and their Belgitude. And they continue to do so today. The history of Belgian beer has known many spectacular twists and turns. Come and enjoy its sparkling tales based on true events as well as strange, funny and moving anecdotes. Zone 3: DIVING INTO THE MIND OF A BREWER It seems simple: all over the world, beer is produced from grain, hops, water and yeast. Yet, for a Belgian brewer, it's not as simple as ABC... By taking a dive into their mind, we can experience all the creativity, curiosity and passion that is needed to develop the perfect balance and a unique mix of flavors: a Belgian beer, worthy of the name. Ready to embark on a journey inside a brewer's mind? Zone 4: WITNESS THE MAGIC What makes Belgian beers truly exceptional? The answer can be found here, in the brewhouse. The fermentation tank is where chemistry turns into magic: the Belgian brewing process is the only one in the world to use four types of fermentation. The result? A multitude of varieties and unparalleled flavors for maximum pleasure! [LOCATION: THE SISTER CAFE] Philosophy Meetup: 17:00-18:30
[LOCATION: THE SISTER CAFE] Philosophy Meetup: 17:00-18:30
Welcome to our weekly event in the upstairs room of The Sister Café, rue Chair et Pain 3, one block from the Grand Place. Please get there early enough to order your drink at the bar first. Thank you! After introductions we will collect questions from the group participants, choose one by voting then discuss it for an hour. Then most of us stay for drinks and bizarre conversations. Past questions have been wide and not confined to academic philosophy: What is a genuine friend? Is social media turning us into emotional zombies? Do we lose some of the experience of things by defining them? Are we driven by sex? Is loneliness a personal failure? Is morality relative? **Crucially, be kind and respectful and generous** in your disagreements; remember how much you personally enjoy someone else proving you wrong before celebrating your cutting counterexamples.

**IMPORTANT NOTICE:** WE'RE MOVING TO [LUMA](https://luma.com/transittechies). SUBSCRIBE TO OUR [LUMA CALENDAR](https://luma.com/transittechies) TO CONTINUE RECEIVING UPDATES. Talks will start at 6:30pm, and we'll mingle over light bites and refreshments before and afterwards. **[Please sign up on the Luma event for building access!](https://luma.com/my43kl57?tk=2BGBsd)** **[Follow us on Luma](https://luma.com/transittechies) to continue receiving updates** **Speakers** **Colin Miller** mostly grew up in Austin, Texas, where he developed an early interest in software and maps. After his freshman year of college, he launched his first startup, Redistricter, which took off far faster than expected. He left school and moved to New York to pursue it full-time. A year later, he created *Subway Builder*, a hyper-realistic game that lets players design subway systems from scratch while navigating real-world constraints and costs. The game simulates millions of commuters using Census and Redistricter data, powered by the same pathfinding algorithms people rely on to get to work. Your job is to design a route network that gets the most people to their destination as fast as possible. — **Greg Feliu** is a data engineer and analyst focused on transportation analytics, with projects ranging from modeling subway–bus transfers to clustering NYC subway stations by ridership. Drawing on public ridership data and GTFS schedules, he builds minimal-assumption models to estimate ridership on each subway line, combining data modeling with subject-matter expertise to reveal how New Yorkers move through the system with *The Busiest Subway Lines in NYC, Ranked*. **[Please sign up on the Luma event for building access!](https://luma.com/my43kl57?tk=2BGBsd)** **[Follow us on Luma](https://luma.com/transittechies) to continue receiving updates** The event will be held at 370 Jay Street, Brooklyn, NY in Room 1201.
