Branding in UX/UI. Designing digital experiences from brand to behavior.
A hands-on workshop on how to translate brand strategy and identity into coherent, meaningful UX/UI design decisions.
This workshop explores how branding and UX/UI intersect, and how designers can move beyond aesthetics to create digital experiences that feel coherent, intentional, and emotionally aligned with a brand.
Rather than treating branding as a visual layer added at the end, the session reframes it as a decision-making system that shapes how interfaces look, behave, and communicate. Students will learn how brand values, personality, and tone influence visual choices, interaction patterns, and microcopy, and how to apply this thinking in real UX/UI projects.
The workshop combines a concise theoretical foundation with practical exercises, helping students develop a clear mental model they can reuse in future projects.
**Who will benefit from this masterclass:**
* UX/UI students
* Designers who struggle to connect branding with interface design
* Anyone who wants their digital work to feel less generic and more intentional
**Key topics:**
* Why “good-looking” interfaces often feel generic
* How branding actually works in digital products
* The hidden role of emotion in UX/UI design
* A practical framework to design consistent, on-brand interfaces
* Turning abstract brand ideas into concrete UI decisions
* Avoiding common UX mistakes caused by over-styling or under-branding
* Designing digital products that feel intentional, not assembled
By the end of the workshop, you will have a stronger foundation for designing digital products that are not only usable, but also expressive, consistent, and meaningful.
**What to Prepare / Bring**
* A laptop
* Access to Figma (or similar design tool)
* Basic UX/UI knowledge
* No prior branding knowledge required.
**Your instructor:**
**Ivi Monteys**
**Brand Strategist at PÁNICO ESTUDIO**
I’m a branding and visual designer working at the intersection of strategy, identity, and digital design. My work focuses on helping brands translate their core values and personality into clear, coherent visual systems and digital experiences.
I work with global projects, companies, and organizations on branding, web design, and digital identity, with a strong emphasis on clarity, consistency, and emotional coherence. My approach is pragmatic: reducing complexity, cutting noise, and turning abstract ideas into concrete design decisions.
This workshop reflects how I approach real projects bridging branding and UX/UI through behavior, intention, and design logic rather than trends or decoration.

Reforestation project in Brazil with Tito Garcez
**Reforestation project in Brazil**
Come to join us for a **presentation and discussion** about the **reforestation and protection of one of the world's most threatened biodiversity** **hotspots** \- the Atlantic Forest in Brazil\.
“Tito Garcez is a **Brazilian conservationist** and the **founder of Instituto Santuário da Mata**, a non-profit organization focused on **protecting and restoring the Atlantic Forest in northeastern Brazil**.
Originally trained in tourism, Garcez pivoted toward environmentalism after living in Patagonia, Argentina, where he realized the importance of living harmoniously with nature. Upon returning home, he witnessed the severe disappearance of local forests and wildlife, which inspired him to **launch long-term initiatives centered on biodiversity conservation**, **ecological restoration** and **environmental education**.
Today, he successfully blends his background by **promoting wildlife watching** and **nature-based tourism** to foster an **appreciation for the environment** while **financially and socially supporting conservation efforts**.
Through his institute, Garcez **actively collaborates with local communities**, **universities, researchers, and volunteers to protect threatened species and restore vital forest habitats**. He strongly emphasizes building bridges between grassroots communities and global environmental organizations. His current visit to Europe stems from relationships built with international volunteers and researchers, and he aims to use this trip to strengthen global partnerships, secure **expanded support for his conservation projects, encourage scientific research, and foster new international collaborations**.
The **Instituto Santuário da Mata** operates in **Sergipe, Brazil**, managing a private **nature reserve recognized by UNESCO** as part of the **Atlantic Forest Biosphere Reserve**. The organization targets the protection of critical, highly threatened biodiversity hotspots by combining ecological restoration with deep community engagement. Its primary initiatives include monitoring endangered wildlife, such as the Coimbra Filho's titi monkey and the maned sloth, reforesting degraded areas, creating wildlife corridors, and hosting international volunteers and educational programs. Ultimately, the institute seeks to build bridges with European universities and organizations to exchange conservation strategies, foster scientific research, and share the unique cultural richness of northeastern Brazil.
**We will discuss:**
\- ecological restauration and the creation of ecological corridors to reconnect fragmented forest areas
\- protection and monitoring of endangered species
\- wild life observation tourism as a tool for conservation and sustainable local development
\- community\-based conservation experiences
\- exchange of experiences between conservation initiatives in Brazil and Europe

Indie Makers Weekly Coworking
**🛑 PLEASE NOTE: This is a private, request-only event. Do not show up at the placeholder map location.**
### **What we do**
Welcome to **Hackalona** — a weekly co-working and demo session for independent makers, developers, bootstrappers, and digital entrepreneurs.
We gather to work alongside like-minded peers - fellow developers and creators who are all building and launching their own independent projects.
This isn't a passive networking event, not a marketing pitch, not a hackathon.
### **Is this for you?**
**✅ This is a perfect match if:**
* You are an indie hacker, developer, or bootstrap founder actively coding your own SaaS, mobile, or web apps.
* You are entirely focused on building, launching, and growing your own independent startup/product.
**❌ This is NOT for you if:**
* You plan to do only freelance client work or tasks for your primary day job during the session.
* You are not a coder/developer (we are a highly technical, hands-on building group).
* You don't have a specific project yet or haven't decided what you are working on.
### **The Agenda**
* **10:30 - 11:30** \- arrival
* **11:30** \- Intros \(a little about yourself \+ what you're working on\)
* **13:00** \- Lunch \(if you want\)
* **17:00** \- Demos \(share what you made today\)
* **18:00** \- Drinks / Events
### **How to attend**
To keep our unique vibe and maintain a highly productive atmosphere for everyone, we don't publish the exact venue address here.
1. **Go to our website**: hackalona.com and apply to join our main Telegram group.
2. Once approved, you will receive the exact location and details in Telegram.
**Coworking space fee:** The venue/coworking space where we meet charges a flat **€10 day-pass fee** for using their space, internet, and facilities. You will pay this directly to the venue.

Practical tips on becoming a 100× developer with agentic workflows
Dark Factory and Compound Engineering — what works in real teams
Dark Factory & Compound Engineering
Two ideas behind this session — in plain terms.
**Dark Factory**
Agents run the software lifecycle behind deterministic gates — specs, builds, tests, and review loops — while you steer intent, rules, and verification instead of every line of code.
**Compound Engineering**
Each cycle makes the next one easier: you capture learnings in instruction files, evaluators, and gates so the system gets measurably smarter — not more chaotic — every time agents run.

**Abstract**
*Customize the IDE: Building Extensions for Visual Studio Code*
Visual Studio Code is one of the most widely used development environments today, and much of its flexibility comes from its extension ecosystem. Extensions allow developers to customize the editor with new features, integrations, and workflow improvements tailored to their needs.
In this session, we’ll cover what extensions are and the different types available, including full extensions written in TypeScript or JavaScript, along with lighter-weight extensions such as color themes, language packs, language support, code snippets, and keymaps. We’ll also look at practical reasons a developer might create an extension, from automating repetitive tasks to adding custom tooling.
The session includes a hands-on walkthrough of creating a new extension, testing it locally, and understanding the basic project structure. We’ll close with a brief overview of how extensions are packaged and published to the Visual Studio Marketplace and other distribution options.
