Il s’agit avant tout d’un temps de présence et de connexion, favorisant une meilleure conscience de soi et des autres. Le cercle est ouvert à toutes et tous, que vous ayez déjà une expérience de ce type d’espace ou que ce soit une première. Le temps de parole est réparti par défaut en 4 blocs de 20 min pour les personnes souhaitant partager une situation qui les touche. Il reste toutefois adaptable. À l’occasion des **Journée des Arts**, le Zoot Collectif est fier d’introduire l’un de ses projets les plus florissants : le quintet du trompettiste **Noé Codjia** et du saxophoniste **Neïl Saïdi.** Les 2 acolytes se sont rencontrés en 2015 à New York pendant leurs études à la prestigieuse New School for Jazz. Pour cette soirée, ils nrevisiteront quelques pépites de leur répertoire favori et présenteront également quelques-unes de leurs compositions originales issus de leur dernier album « *Indi-Gêne* » sorti en 2025 sous le label Zoot Records. *Line-up :* *Noé Codjia : trompette* *Neïl Saïdi : saxophone ténor* *Noé Huchard : piano* *Luca Fattorini : contrebasse* *Malte Arndal : batterie* **ZOOT COLLECTIF** Véritable vivier artistique, le Zoot Collectif créé en 2016 sous l’impulsion du saxophoniste Neil Saidi, participe depuis plusieurs années au dynamisme et à la vivacité de la scène jazz française. Ils nous ont habitués aux créations marquantes et d'envergure comme le Zoot Symphonic Orchestra au Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, le spectacle Pannonica avec Natalie Dessay, ou les différentes éditions du Zoot Fest. En 2022, Neil Saidi fonde les Zoot Studios, studio de répétition et d’enregistrement indépendant rapidement devenu un lieu très fréquenté de la scène jazz. This is a group for adults who want to ground in nature and connect to their creative selves in a warm and supportive environment. We'll meet weekly for 13 weeks (beginning June 26th) at a goat farm in Silver Spring, MD. We'll begin with a goat walk. That's right, we'll walk through the woods with goats and then focus on the chapters of Julia Cameron's book, *Walking in This World.* Maybe you want to dive deeper after having completed a facilitated group based on Cameron's first book, *The Artist's Way* or you want to jump right into exploring your inner landscape through writing and grounding in nature. You don't have to be a self-proclaimed or professional writer or artist to join. Just bring your curiosity, a copy of the book, something to write with and a commitment to attend all sessions if possible. Since the in-person portion of the group will be held at a private residence, I'll email registrants the address once they've signed up. Please dress in comfy clothes that might possibly be nibbled on by adorable goats, as the residence is also a goat farm. Wear closed toed shoes and feel free to bring water, a snack for yourself, bug spray and sunblock. In-person attendees will meet at 7 am. In the event of more than light rain, we'll skip goat walks and meet in the indoor office. There is an indoor bathroom on-site. For those joining on-line, plan to join at 7:30 am. You'll also need something to write with and a copy of the book.

Rockville Vegans will be picking up trash on the outside of Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary as part of their adopt-a-highway program. Poplar will provide all the supplies - gloves, bags, and visibility vests. We will be parking just inside the gate as you enter the farm property.

This is an 7.5-mile hike with 600 feet of elevation gain through the woodlands of Reston and Oakton. On the hike we'll pass horse paddocks and may even see a group of curious goats. We'll start at the Walker Nature Center and pick up the Cross County Trail (CCT) for an out and back of the northern half of CCT Section . Our turn will be at Gabrielson Garden Park, **Park on Glade Road so the Nature Center parking lot can be kept open for the Center's pre-school activities and drop-offs.** We hike at a pace of approximately 2.5 mph while moving.
