Bitte bedenkt, dass es in diesem Workshop nicht um Perfektion, sondern vor allem um Spaß geht! Nicht jedes Tierchen wird am Ende einen Schönheits Wettbewerb gewinnen, aber aus eigener Erfahrung können wir sagen, dafür sind sie meist wirklich süß und umso wertvoller. Join us for a unique 4-day watercolour journey where art meets nature, observation, and everyday wisdom. **In this workshop, we will create our own illustrated herbarium — a personal catalogue of plants — while working directly from real, fresh herbs from my little balcony garden.** You’ll learn how to observe their shapes, textures, and colours, and translate them into delicate watercolour studies. But this is more than painting. In this talk, I show how multilingual models expose the limits of scale and highlight the importance of balanced performance. I argue for a shift from optimizing peaks to lifting the floor, through better data, design, and evaluation illustrated through Tiny Aya. **Bio**: Marzieh Fadaee is the Head of Cohere Labs, where she leads research on fundamental problems in artificial intelligence. Her work spans multilingual language models, data-efficient learning, model evaluation, and trustworthy AI, with a focus on building systems that are robust, inclusive, and globally impactful. She co-leads the Aya initiative that brought together over 3,000 collaborators worldwide to create the world's largest multilingual instruction dataset and the development of a series of state-of-the-art multilingual language and vision models. Before joining Cohere Labs, Marzieh was the Research Lead at Zeta Alpha Vector, where she pioneered innovative approaches to knowledge discovery and organization. She holds a PhD from the University of Amsterdam where she conducted foundational research on neural machine translation. This time, we're visiting two exhibitions that couldn't be more different on the surface — and yet ask surprisingly similar questions about art, perception, and the world we live in. Constantin Brancusi — one of the founding fathers of modern sculpture — stripped form down to its purest essence, searching for something timeless in stone and bronze. Beeple (Mike Winkelmann) — the digital artist who sold an NFT for 69 million dollars — layers on the chaos of our digital age through AI, robotics and sharp political satire, presenting his first-ever exhibition in Germany right here in Berlin. What counts as art? Who decides? How does the world around us shape what we see? Two artists, a century apart, both asking the same things. 🖼️ About the Exhibitions Brancusi is one of the most important retrospectives of the season — a rare opportunity to encounter his sculptures, drawings and photographs in depth, tracing his lifelong obsession with reducing form to its essential truth. Beeple. Regular Animals is an interactive robotic installation making its German debut. Autonomous robot dogs roam the space, each wearing a hyperrealistic silicon head modelled after a global figure — Elon Musk, Zuckerberg, Bezos, Warhol, Picasso. They scan the room, process what they see through AI, and print out images which you can take home for free.
