It introduces OWASP Threat Dragon and demonstrates how to deconstruct application architecture using sample projects. The talk also explores how to combine application-level threat modeling with the OWASP Web Security Testing Guide to build a structured pentesting methodology, and highlights why developing a threat modeling mindset is essential for growing from a junior to a senior pentester, before wrapping up with key takeaways. **Speaker Bio:** Donavan brings nearly a decade of cybersecurity experience across red teaming, penetration testing, threat modeling, and risk assessments. He has actively contributed to the open source community through his series of deliberately vulnerable machines on Vulnhub between 2018 and 2021, and has demonstrated strong technical depth by delivering threat modeling talks at conferences across Europe and Asia, including DefCamp in Romania, FIRST Central Asia in Uzbekistan, GCC 2025 in Taiwan, and SINCON in Singapore, often using OWASP Threat Dragon to introduce practical concepts. At Thales, he also led the development of a fully functional, Singapore-built cybersecurity gamification experience called “Defend the Breach” within just three months, enabling participants to step into the role of CISOs and make strategic decisions around cyber budgets, threat response, and security capabilities. **Talk 2 :** [Details Coming soon] ***Since this is a free event, please RSVP only if you’re sure you can attend. Prompt injection is getting attention, but what actually makes it work? Where do the real risks sit, in the application layer or inside the model itself? And as agentic systems gain autonomy, what new attack surfaces are we introducing without fully understanding them? This session breaks down common AI threat vectors, from prompt manipulation to deeper architectural weaknesses. We will look at how application and model level risks differ, and how agentic systems reshape traditional threat modeling. The goal is to move beyond hype and get clear on where the real security gaps exist and how to think about them. **About the Speaker :** Abhinav Singh is an esteemed cybersecurity leader & researcher with over 15 years of experience across technology leaders and financial institutions, as well as an independent trainer and consultant. Author of "Metasploit Penetration Testing Cookbook" and "Instant Wireshark Starter," his contributions span patents, open-source tools, and numerous publications. Recognized in security portals and digital platforms, Abhinav is a sought-after speaker & trainer at international conferences like Black Hat, RSA, DEFCON, BruCon, and many more, where he shares his deep industry insights and innovative approaches in cybersecurity. He also leads multiple AI security groups at CSA, responsible for coming up with cutting-edge white papers and industry reports on the safety and security of AI. ***Since this is a free event, please RSVP only if you’re sure you can attend. Saturday Korean: 토요일 한국어
안녕하세요, Have you been watching a lot of Korean dramas, but can't get past "안녕하세요" (annyeonghaseyo) and "감사합니다" (kamsahamnida)? Or simply want to say out a line from a drama? join us to pick up some Korean at Saturday Korean: 토요일 한국어. It is best that you already have some working knowledge of the Korean language so that you will have a smoother conversation. All our language-learning meetup events are free of charge. WE WANT KOREAN SPEAKERS TOO! We are on a constant lookout for proficient Korean speakers (not necessarily native) to come and share their knowledge of the language and culture. If you speak the language, come join us, help others learn and make lots of friends. See you there! 1. NO COMMERCIAL ACTIVITIES We welcome anyone who is keen to learn a language or help others learn the language. However, this is NOT the platform for individuals who have other intentions, such as recruiting members for their business or organisation or selling products or services. We will not hesitate to ask such individuals to stop attending our meetups if they have been found to be pestering our members for such purposes. 2. GETTING THERE Nearest MRT station: Promenade MRT Station. LOCATING US INSIDE THE FOOD COURT When you arrive in the food court, look out for groups of people and ask them if they are there for a meetup. We are usually seated against the wall near the Penyet & BBQ stall, but this may vary. You can also send the host a text message via Meetup.
We don't really drink, just feel like going to a drinking place :D
We don't really drink, just feel like going to a drinking place :D
Hey :) Ever feel like going somewhere with a nice vibe… but not really in the mood to drink or do anything wild? This is just a simple, easy meetup with no pressure, no expectations from anyone. Just a group of people coming together to sit, chat, laugh a little, and enjoy being around others. You don’t have to drink. You don’t have to impress anyone. You don’t even have to be super talkative. Just come as you are. Come if you feel like: - Getting out of the house but keeping things low-key - Talking about life, random thoughts, or nothing at all - Just sitting somewhere nice and feeling a bit more human *Important note: - This is a simple and casual arrangement to hang out randomly. - Pay for your own food and drinks. - We will walk in with no reservations so we will play by the ear to find seats. - Do not expect specific arrangements on seating and grouping. - The venue might not be the best condition for deep, proper nor meaningful conversations.
Party of Fives: Boardgames Beyond on Sundays
Party of Fives: Boardgames Beyond on Sundays
Welcome to the Party of Fives Meetups! If you are a gamer who wants to go beyond the usual PARTY gaming fare at boardgame meetups and cafes, this is it! We don't usually play Cards against Humanity, Exploding Kittens and Unstable Unicorns. That's just us. Make us play if you can. We will be playing an assortment of board games ranging from light strategic kinds to heavy thematic ones. Games we usually play range from light ones like Azul, Splendor, Jamaica to medium ones like Yokohama, Endeavor and Nippon and of course heavy ones like Twilight Imperium, Gloomhaven, Tainted Grail and Kingdom Death Monster! Do not be surprised if you see us painting miniatures or are engaged in some sort of insanely time-consuming enhancements towards our game elements in our games. Everyone get their kick in different ways. :) Painting groups are also in their groups of fives ... For the game designers out there, just tell us that you are a creator when you see us and we will have our own private creative sessions mapped out in a feasible way. Most others don't care so we should not disturb the force unnecessarily. We will contact you when you sign up and place you into appropriate messaging groups with different needs to facilitate further communication. Total noobs are totally welcome! While we don't serve food ourselves, we are smack right in the middle of the legendary Golden Mile premises with an huge range of eateries from super curry puffs, loud Japanese izakaya food, heavenly chicken rice with steamboat, hellish black burgers and authentic Thai food that is just sick. All within a pebble's throw away. Tea and dinner sessions (at our own expenses) usually follow the gaming sessions according to our designated groups. Due to the current Covid-19 and social distancing restrictions, you are not allowed to join us for these food consuming sessions only. For your understanding, please If you have something specific in mind, do a shout out below and we see if we can help within reasonable grounds. There will be a charge of SGD $15 (ARENA: $15), (HEAVY/CAMPAIGN GAMES: $25) collected at the door (in cash) to help with the running of the event. How to sign up for our sessions: • Join the Singapore Manga Anime Games & Cosplay Assembly as a member. • RSVP below and retain a screenshot of your RSVP as proof. • Note that without proof of RSVP you will not be allowed into the premises. • Note that those who sign up but do not show up will not be allowed to sign up for future Party of Five sessions. • Note that RSVP closes 6 hours before the event takes place. For those who will like to form groups to play other games, feel free to shout out your intentions at the comments section below: Note that there won’t be any game masters around to help you with your games on site. The meetup will run from the time stated to the time ended. By signing up for this meetup, you agree to the terms and conditions set above.

Walk & Talk About Life's Big Questions
Walk & Talk About Life's Big Questions
[The Board Walks](http://www.theboardwalks.com/) are for curious people who love deep conversations. If that sounds like you, **bring a thoughtful topic** and join us for a 5-mile walk (10,000+ steps!). **HOW IT WORKS** **Step 1: Bring a topic** Before you arrive, think of **one** topic you want to explore. A question. A thought that's been on your mind. An obsession you want to geek out on. This is your ticket to the event. **Step 2: Circle up & share** We gather in a circle. Your friendly walk host gives a speech to set the tone. Everyone shares: your name, what you're grateful for, and your topic. That's it. 60 seconds. **Step 3: Walk, talk & float** We walk 5 miles. You naturally drift into conversation with 2-3 people at a time, pulled by topics that spark your curiosity. When you're ready to move on, just say: "I'm going to float!" **Step 4: Feel more alive** Two hours flies by. You're back where you started — but you feel different. More alive. More energized. More connected to yourself and others. That's why regulars join 20+ times. *For more details, read our [Orientation Guide.](https://www.theboardwalks.com/orientation)* **HOW TO BRING A GREAT TOPIC** A great topic = something you're genuinely curious about. Recent topics include: * "What are you passionate about right now?" * "What makes a good friend?" * "What's a belief you used to hold that you've completely changed?" * "How do you want to be remembered?" * "What would you do if money wasn't a factor?" Think of your topic like the dish you're bringing to our conversational potluck. If everyone brings an A+ dish (i.e. energizing, uplifting, expansive), we'll all walk away feeling lighter and brighter. **WHAT TO EXPECT** This isn't a fitness event with casual chitchat. It's a walking think tank where we explore life's big questions together, beyond small talk. *If you're looking for light banter or a standard networking event, this probably isn't the right fit.* But if you crave depth, genuine connection, and conversations that make you feel alive? You'll love it here. **FAQ** * Wear casual athletic attire and sneakers. It's a long walk! * We have multiple first-timers at each event. We work hard to create a welcoming, inclusive, clique-free space. * We welcome people of **all** ages, backgrounds, and industries who align with the [intention](https://www.theboardwalks.com/ground-rules) of this space. * Rain or shine, we've been out here nearly every week since July 2022. If the event is cancelled, we'll let you know. * Dogs, babies in strollers, parents, and friends are welcome — please text/email them the event link so they can RSVP and prepare a topic! **LOGISTICS** * If you'll arrive over 10 minutes late, we suggest skipping the event. It's hard to find us once we start walking, and your host can't answer messages during the event. * This walk is designed for everyone to *move together at the same steady pace* (about 20 min/mile). This format works best when the whole group moves in unison. If you have mobility limitations, we kindly encourage you to find an event better suited to your needs. * Read our [Orientation Guide](https://www.theboardwalks.com/orientation) for full details. * If you enjoy the event, send **[this](http://www.theboardwalks.com/)** to a friend or sign up for our **[newsletter](https://theboardwalks.beehiiv.com/)**. We're in multiple cities with more on the way. 🤠👋 **IF YOU WANT TO GO DEEPER...** [The Board](https://stan.store/ellebeecher/p/the-board) is the next step: a high-trust collective for renaissance people devoted to creating, connecting, and building lives that light us up. * This is a global HQ for people who crave big talk, deep connection, and dream collaborations with people across industries. If the walks feel like a spark... The Board is the fire. Apply [here](https://stan.store/ellebeecher/p/the-board).
